MMU will have crazy thrust/weight ratio even with the GE-F110 engine, with those planned 2x35.000lbf engines it will become a real monster.

I had noticed the weight being off earlier and this may be related to the fact that the TFX need to be powered with a lesser engine in its initial iteration and will be upgraded to its full potential later on with following iterations powered by a domestic engine. When powered by a domestic engine its MTOW will probably increase allowing for an increased payload capacity as well. And remember that the TFX is expected to have better agility than other fighters calculated based on its geometry. See the sketch in my signature.

Meaning it would follow J-20's development, they had similar problems with the initial engines on the prototype.

TFX uses some large 3D printed metal parts including the main bulkhead which can supposedly be much lighter than a routed out part. This along with extensive use of composites allow for a light dry weight of the plane. However the MTOW is related to engine power as a variable which is in turn related to the speed of the plane. With a more powerful engine comes a bigger MTOW and the smaller dry weight of the plane allows for a bigger payload fraction. Obviously parameters will change with the engine power installed.

A guy "sequ" from sinodefenceforum made a very good guess about empty weight of MMU.

Forward fuselage: 1470kg
Mid body with wings: 2125kg
Aft fuselage: 3945kg
Horizontal stabs: 2x 235kg=470kg
Vertical stabs: unknown but for convenience sake we use the same weight as the horizontal stabilizers even though they are smaller=2x235kg=470kg?
Cockpit section: unknown but IMO 1000kg?
2x F110 engines and accessoires: 2x2000kg=4000kg
Landing gears, hydraulics and electronics= Estimated 2000kg?

Estimated empty weight TF-X= 15500kg +/- 10? = 34.000 libre
Let's try to guess MTOW (maximum takeoff weight)
Empty weight = 34.000 libre
Useful Load = 20.000 (İbrahim Sünnetçi sent a tweet about this which I can't find at the moment.)
Fuel Load = 20.000 (We use the same weight of useful load)

MTOW = 74.000 libre = 33.565 kg (With 9 ton fuel and 9 ton useful load)

Thrust/weight at MTOW = 60000 / 74000 = 0,81 (With F 110 engine)
Thrust/weight at Gross weight (%50 fuel + % 50 ammunition) = 60000 / 54000 = 1,11 (With F 110 engine)
Thrust/weight at MTOW = 70000 / 74000 = 0,94 (With national 35k engine)
Thrust/weight at Gross weight (%50 fuel + % 50 ammunition) = 70000 / 54000 = 1,29 (With national 35k engine)
