US has flown 6th gen demonstrator in 2020 so I think that Lockheed is still very ahead of everyone.

i could see China and Turkey behind slightly but ahead of Russia and Europe depending on how cohesive their programs are.

I will be asking about these, probably in 2-3 weeks. I heard some good stuff about design phase but not much info about production of the second prototype.

Detail parts production started earlier than expected. Pre-CDR pretty much. If the previously given assembly dates are to be believed, then it might be possible for us to see some parts of the P1 soon. Expect changes to P1's airframe design.

All this talk about Kaan being turned into a 6th gen fighter goes back to what I have been saying about 6th gen just being a more mature 5th gen fighter and not an actual generation of its own.

Do any of you believe that one of the future prototypes will go in the X-44 MANTA direction?

I believe that the X-44 could be used as an easy way to transition to an even more low-observable fighter that is good against S and X bands, especially since its design was derived from the F22.

The only major design feature that defines 6th gen is the absence of the vertical stabilizer aka the rudder. We can easily predict that it comes with a remarkable penalty to maneuverability. Considering improvements in radar technology it can be predictable that before too long no plane will fly undetected near a conflict zone. In this case better meneuverability and faster speed will probably be more valuable than absolute stealth. You've got a point.

F-22 has around 9.5t internal payload capacity.

He probably misspoke. Because, 10t wouldn't physically fit into internal bays.

Wow, perhaps Kaan can carry 10 ton but there is no place to mount all of them inside ,This apply aslo for F22 .
