Within 20 years, the TAF will permanently become the most powerful air force with independent operational capability in the EMEA region, which will last until the end of the century.
Maybe with the exception of UK and maybe France, but it's still too early to flex muscles, Turkish air force has been in a procurement fasting for many decades right now, so it will take a lot if procurement to rebuild.

They're waiting on the indigenous platforms to mature. Once that happens, the floodgates will open!

IMHO, mistake is that you always envisage future projections in linear terms. Only a very small slice of world history has really progressed in this way. Countries lose momentum for various reasons, demography, technology, political stalemates, civil wars, social depressions, millions of reasons... The potential of countries can change dynamically. The uniqueness of mankind in the phase of states in many ways it is related to this. By the mid of 1800s, in Abdulaziz era, the Ottoman Empire had third largest navy in the world. But all of Europe and the world saw that Ottomans was clearly seeing that nearing the end of its life. The political and military structure within the state had decayed, leaving it open to foreign intervention and provocation in all social and political spheres.

Europe lost its status as the main power centre after process that started with the world wars up to today. What has been lost is geopolitical momentum. By subordinating the security paradigm to environmental factors, it has limited itself, but in the period 1950-2010, it has created a great economic development. The EU project also has many dilemmas within itself, that was started with a motives like aimed for a return. Bcs, center of gravity of the world has shifted step by step. Especially the war in Ukraine has shown that the economic development and prosperity of life in the EU is fundamentally dependent on the security strategies of the Atlantic structure. It is like building a beautiful house but handing the key to the landlord, which they see themselves as savior.

Today there is no big difference in military capacity between the colonial era superpowers you mention and, for example, the western articulated Far Asian major powers (Korea for example). They will be likely to be even more disadvantaged over years. In short, what I am saying is not that the TAF has become a global superpower in 20 years, but that the balance of power in the world is going in a different direction.

Sultan Abdulaziz did actually made the Ottoman navy the third biggest the problem was overtime due to new ships and technology the navy became obsolete.

Economic costs of running such a navy.

Technological advancements can make anything obsolete.

You either try to get ahead or get left behind.

I know you love this type of hypothetical scenarios, but this is seriously unrealistic. We are already behind about 10 years. Even when Kaan is ready, which will take at least until 2030s, it'll take us about another 10 year to have a 100 planes, let alone 300 or more. And none of the countries there, barring African countries, will sit on their asses for 20 years, waiting for us to catch up. F-35 is being produced at a number we can only dream of despite all of its problems. Multiple new projects are going along and even if European ones turn out to be complete duds, they can still buy planes from the US.

Not to mention, those European countries have significant financial advantages right now, but they also don't have to deal with the complexities we constantly have to deal with. Even in perfect conditions, even if we didn't have an economy that is teethering on the verge of collapse it would be borderline impossible to overtake them while starting from so far behind.

I honestly can't believe the hyperbole some members here constantly engage in. Why go to such lengths, borderline childish fantasies instead of being proud of what we have already achieved but without losing our heads?

They have a high welfare policy, and the money they can invest in national defense is very limited

My personal view; we are talking about a platform that will be operational in 2035 (along with the platform it will be operate from + naval aviation training + test phase) . The design will be obsolote in 12 years as a carrier based fighter. Better redirect these efforts into marinization of helicopters.
I might sound again crazy but what if ASELSAN etc would create a pilot robot that could fly with every plane.

After 15 years you could transform all your old fighters into unmanned platformu.
By this mean, You don't have to upgrade your fighters, you just put a robot in the cockpit. When your old fighter out of service just replace the aircraft. Semi autonomous-semi remote control pilot robots . Sounds nut?

Yes but

1,Their higher defense budgets needed to pay their far higher salary.

2,We,just like Chinese,had a lot of fund to pay defence industry which not including in the defense budgets .Turkish armed force is very rich and had many companies.

There is a massive difference between 1 unit of Turkish military spending and 1 unit of EU-country-of-your-choice military spending. Its called defence PPP.
Lucky for us, Perun did talked about it in its latest video.

Does F-16 Özgür avionics has Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (Auto GCAS)?
Recently, the American Senate has approved the export of the system to Türkiye.I'm not sure if this system will be used in F16 Özgürs too or just the other block F16s.

& will TF-X have it?
Tusaş CEO Temel Kotil had made a statement on this issue in the past.The system in TFX will not only prevent the ground collision.System will automatically return the aircraft to the base from which it took off if pilots passout.

First of all it is Türkçe.
I am sorry but it is very important and Critical "History moments".
(TAI) General Manager Temel Kotil explain how it started from his personal live to TAI, then projects, government, neighbors etc.......
It is about planing, disbelieve, not feasibility, government steps, switch to private company, what had to be done, lot and lot of money, embargoes etc.
It is really astonishing to the end. Temel Kotil said the Facts, True and that there were consensuses.
