However, not everyone shares the same level of optimism as the Turkish people. Some analysts express concerns, specifically highlighting the engine problem, which is considered the fundamental component of an aircraft and perhaps more crucial than the entire product.

".. that tensions between the U.S. and Türkiye may not decrease soon, and that helping Türkiye to produce a fighter that may disrupt America’s foreign policy and jet sales, particularly in the Middle East, the Washington administration may not greenlight the sale of F110s to TUSAŞ. Setting aside Washington’s reluctance, even Jewish, Greek and Armenian lobby groups have the potential to halt the export of engines to be assembled to KAAN."

"Moreover, the lack of advanced fighters will become an existential threat for Türkiye since the country is circled by ongoing wars, ambitious regional powers, and a neighbor,.."

"Arab states, the Turkic world, and many states from the Global South will probably purchase the jet as Türkiye will not put forward conditions for its sale. Plus, the majority of mentioned states are Türkiye’s friends and they are already waiting for an alternative jet other than American or European. Therefore, potential customers will push the Turkish state to finish the project in order to obtain advanced jets.. "

My opinion:
Seeing from afar, Turkey has no friends, Azerbaijan and no one else. Allies, a few years ago several Arab countries were very openly against Turkey.
Seeing a member of the Saudi State at the official presentation of Hurkuş and Kaan last year gave me pause...
There are no friends and there are no allies, there are interests!!!

Maybe selling 100 Kaan to Saudi Arabia is a very very good deal, but tomorrow they are enemies...
(Türkiye needs a lot of money in investments)
This is partly my opinion. Türkiye yes or yes "it has to be right with God and the devil," as they say in my country. Betrayal is present and perhaps where it is least expected.

Kind regards
By selling a fifth-generation aircraft, aren't we guaranteeing an alliance? They are signing a 30-40 year dependency on all kinds of software, ammunition, maintenance and spare parts. I think the countries that buy planes from us are also buying our friendship.

Well we are not America and they have alternatives. We won't be able to negotiate to the same extent they do. They will probably ask for more independence and special customizations that others wouldn't give, and we will do what they want cuz money.

As long as the weapons cannot be used against Turkey or used in a way that benefits a nation which indirectly harms Turkey then we should look to sell to as many as possible.

All that money, that increased industrial capacity needed to service demand will benefit the entire defence industry in Turkey and allow it to grow quicker and better. Look at Baykar, its much better that they sold loads then had they just sold to Turkey alone.

just out of interest, lets say the first one is delivered in 5 years, are we worried to be flying it while our S400 is functioning?

S400 in 2028 is an anachronism. SİPER will fully mature and newer blocks will be introduced by that time.

But I'm sure HvKK will solve any problem that can occure due to a lack of interoperability. My guess is S400 (if it's used) will be used against smaller opponents. We know it can shoot down Russian aircraft as it happens often in Ukraine. Our eastern and southern neigbours have Russian aircraft. Iran will have Su-35s for example.

It will have its uses. But I doubt it will be used by then.

i meant in the context of how the USA bullshitted Turkey that s400 use could compromise all the F35 secrets. Are we worried about it compromising KAAN secrets to Russia?

Israel DEMANDED to keep qualitative edge in the region. It is a law in America to keep that edge. Even Greece Cyprus are asking for that to be official law for them as well. If it wasn't American lies about s400 deal (witch was already done long before ridiculous CAATSA) it would be PKK or Kavala or some other nonsense.

You can't transfer radar signal data to Russia without we knowing about it. We are very capable of detecting that kind of anomaly even when we don't have all source codes of the s400. Servicing of s400 by Russian technicians isn't necessary for Türkiye. Also KAAN isn't stealth yet and there are these 4 little Luneburg lenses that can be added to obfuscate radar signature like F-35 does.

Regurgitation of the Wikipedia article, nothing more. Even the bloody abomination of a name that is "TF Kaan" is present.
Isn't there a soul on this forum that has an autoconfirmed Wikipedia account to change that sh*t?!

Some Swedish tosser posted this under my comment when I warned about the aforementioned issue.

We are getting psy-op'ed on even the most trivial of things such as the name of our bloody airplane!
