They won't use Kaan to attack Turkish forces. They used Cirits to attack Turkish proxies in Libya and Roketsan supplied MLRS in Sudan. When they need it, they will.
Allegedly. US deals are a bit more complex.Turkey signed an actual deal with the US to buy F-16B70 and nothing has become of it so far.
TBF the F16 Deal stalling is more on us than the americans. If we wanted the deal would be finalized tomorrow.Turkey signed an actual deal with the US to buy F-16B70 and nothing has become of it so far. I would expect even less from a MOU for an aircraft that is still in its development phase.
Both are MoUs, which are again statements of interest, none of it are legally binding contracts. There's no payment for the aircraft, there's no official documentation.
Best of luck to us all.
The „problem“ will not be the quality, but maybe the price.KAAN will be the backbone and the Future of Turkish Air force. No need for big words but I dont think we will face much difficulty in finding satisfactory amount of customers. Another advantage will be Unlike most 5 gens, KAAN will be a progressive platform i.e KAAN will develope gradually and in stages.
That means Kizilelma and anka real serial production will have them next year together with tf6000As I said before, sensors of Kaan will be ready in time for the second prototype of Kaan. Murad-600, Toygun, Karat, IVDL and Tulgar will be integrated on the Kaan prototype in 2026.

TF6000 won't be ready for a 2 or 3 more years. You can't just rush ground and aerial testing of an engine and put it into serial production. As far as proper testing go, TF6000 has just began a very long road AND the same road will have to be walked again with TF10000.That means Kizilelma and anka real serial production will have them next year together with tf6000
South Korea and Jakarta have reached an agreement to reboot their cooperation in the KF-21 fighter programme, as the Southeast Asian nation downplays the firmness of an agreement to obtain 48 Turkish Aerospace (TAI) Kaan fighters.
According to Seoul’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration, officials from both countries have confirmed an arrangement that sharply reduces Jakarta’s financial commitment in the programme.
Who don’t trust Indonesia?I said it here yesterday or the day before and I say it again: beware dealing with Indonesia. Indonesia cannot be trusted.

Sad for the KAAN programme.
shhh just beg for eurofighters, dont do business elsewhere, this is the wayWho don’t trust Indonesia?
People here don't pay attention to two things.
1. This MoU is the only one for a 5th-gen fighter, which Indonesia has signed (correct me if i am wrong).
2. If KAAN and its turkish engine enter serial production (so no problems from turkish side) and Indonesia refuses to order those Jets (actual numbers are not written in stone), then Indonesia probably knows very well that in this case, they won't be able to participate in any future projects and won't be able to buy strategic platforms as well as weapons from Türkiye for a long time.
I think the second point is the wrong mindset for a nation like Turkiye. Indonesia showing interest towards the KAAN is good for us, even if in the end they don't buy it. We have some ways to go before we can be considered reliable for fighter jets, until then we should be flexible and considerate. Personally i take this move from Indonesia as a goodwill gesture.
Right now the move from indonesia is good optics for Turkiye and her industry. We need more nations who believe in some kind of "religious" brotherhood with us to make that move towards us.
Following the agreement with Indonesia, could it contribute to the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with other countries for KAAN in the near future?
In normal conditions i would agree with you, but before this MoU, there were many talks and visits between those two countries (probably related to KAAN). In this case, if there won't be problems from turkish side, imo Türkiye will see it as "backstabbing".
