I‘m sorry, no offense, but aren‘t Yeniçeri the opposite of being pure blood Turkish?

Janissaries began as elite corps made up through the devşirme system of child levy, by which Christian Albanians, Romanians, Armenians, Bulgarians, Croats, Greeks and Serbs were taken, levied, subjected to circumcision and conversion to Islam, and incorporated into the Ottoman army.
Yep and when the Janissaries became Turkish, it became extremely corrupt and inefficient.

Whatever they decide on, it should be a Turkic origin word. I don't agree with Anadolu Kartalı because "Anadolu" is of Greek origin.
I disagree. We are the owner of these lands, so we also owner of the cultural heritage of these lands. It can even be done just to annoy the Greeks :sneaky:.

My suggestion for the name of this fighter is "TF-23 Alper".

It means "valiant soldier". It's also a Turkish name. It also sounds good like "F-22 Raptor". Easy to pronounce in any language.

We may go to Turkish tradition for naming and name it for the sound it makes just like Gırgır or fisfis

According to that tradition it would be something like jııtjııt 🥴

I take you know that from the 32 Sultans 30 had a Christian mother (30 generations in a row)
And I take you have not read what I wrote.
Just in case though, to clarify; their Serbian, Byzantine mothers were, not Christians when they were wed to Ottoman princes.
Every concubine or non-Muslim princess were converted to Islam before marriage and were Muslims when the bond of marriage realized. So, the children from this wedlock were Muslims.
Hope this helps.

Nope it doesn't, in core they remained Christian. The superfluous window dressing of "converting to Islam" is like those Iranian Mutah weddings

"69" because it's double the 35 of the F-35, and "bae" because it will sprinkle guided weapons on our enemies which will make them very salty.

Rather than the nickname (don't worry, since we are now a frenemy within NATO, they also will find a code name), I wonder how the numerical coding will be. Because after the Hürjet and MMU codes are revealed, other future systems following these platforms will be coded according to this systematic.

I wonder if it will be two letters and two numbers, or one letter and three numbers, or some other combination. The first letter could be the nation code, the second could be the class code. In the numeric part, aircraft separation can be provided according to different parameters.

Designating military aerospace vehicles and ordnance is an important issue for standardization. I think this year or next year the Turkish Air Force's approach to this issue will be revealed. Probably the US Mission-Design-Series (MDS) designation system will be taken as an example.

I was beginning to think that I was the only one curious about this issue

……….

Another point: what will be the aircraft nomenclature for air services of the Turkish Armed Forces?
Will we follow NATO designations such as, F, C, A and so on or will create our own and go with, for instance, A (avcı = fighter), T (taarruz = attack)? I, for one, prefer NATO designations. Almost universal.

…………
And as I pointed out earlier I think it would be a better to go with NATO designations instead of Turkish designations like Chinese do (J, H, etc) because we will be seeking international customers and Turkey is still a NATO member.

edit: I know British and French use names only instead of code designations but still

NP then. And I won’t be trying to convince you or anything since I’m not obliged to.
Now seeing that your claim was based on your beliefs rather than facts, well, GL my friend.
