It looks longer than type 214 like 80 meter long
yes 80+

dont take my words serious but you know the position of the Sail is very very intersting ... just my wishfull thinking again. the center of gravity .... I mean if the sail is in the front what is at back? national AIP or missiles? :devilish: just kidding or I am not.

Even if the initial intention is not that you can even claim that this design may evolve to carry gezgin, land attack atmaca, çakır or may be even bora or tayfun in the future

The position where the sail sits.. with a huge real estate behind it… brings a lot of funny thoughts to your mind, doesn’t it 😉

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "We will make another agreement with the Spanish and hopefully increase our aircraft carriers to 2 by bringing the improved version of TCG Anadolu to our country."

That's about all there is in the "article". Wonder what he meant by "improved version".

Improved version = Designed as a drone mothership from the start. TCG Anadolu is a LHD.

BTW military also wants to power military bases and forward operating bases with SMRs in the (distant) future.

It should be able to fire ATMACA and Gezgin from Torpedo tubes.

I wholeheartedly hope so, and I've already said it here a few times I think, that would be the best use of TCG Trakya. A mothership for UAVs and USVs.

thanks any more details like the numbers or the size of VLS? so Milden will be similar to KSS III? national AIP? guess we can claim that MILDEN is the second most complex project that we have after KAAN?

I see, so that was your surprise that you withheld previously?
And we had it covered in Naval programs. It wasn't all but i am still expecting steel cutting to made within this year and hoping to hear more.

There isn't much information on that, even the VLS provided in models/sketches are still premilinary. Morelikely to show the intentions, not the capacity. National AIP was among the key projects as well. Not only that but Navy intends to have all major components made local.

We have the right weapons for MILDEN VLS, i think 6 Tayfun fired from MILDEN will hurt our enemies :D . IF you look what 35 years old ATACMS did in Ukraine. What kind effect will be Tayfun launched from subs will do?

S-80 on its way to Türkiye

Türkiye and Spain decided to work together on the S-80 submarine.

According to the information HaberDenizi.com received from defense sources, the two parties decided to work together on the S-80 submarine built by Spanish Navantia. The submarines are planned to be built in Turkey under the company's license.

Uhmm?? Is this supposed to be a buy or a joint venture for third country exports?
