Maybe he meant no probe-and-drogue refuelling (e.g. Eurofighter, Rafale, F/A-18).

Your picture shows the flying boom method for refueling (e.g. F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15). So Turkish F-16s have no refueling probe but are refueled through a „plugged in“ flying boom.

As a rule of thumb: most US fighter aircraft use flying boom, most European & Russian use a probe.

Just another side note:
A decade ago they also developed a refuelling probe for conformal tanks of F-16 called CARTS.

Here you can see both: the probe (conformal tank) and the markings on the back for the flying boom.

If the Super Şimşek meant to be Turkey's equivalent to the XQ-58 Valkyrie loyal wingman drone does that mean that the Super Şimşek will be launched the same way?

Super-Simsek is a weapon/drone. Valkyrie XQ-58 is a UCAV akin to our KE or Anka-3 and although it is comparatively cheaper than the main fighter aircraft it is accompanying and can be sacrificed in stead, it is not as expendably cheap as a Super-Simsek. Remember that XQ-58 can land back to its base.
In fact it would make more sense to launch the Super-Simsek with rocket assistance. I hope they do develop that technology too. Especially if it is launched from TCG Anadolu it would increase TCG Anadolu’s lethality even more. As Super-Simsek can be used in swarm mode, EW mode and as intelligence gathering mode, it can be invaluable to that ship’s defences and its attack posture.
Well! it can be launched from any of our larger ships.

And BTW this always bothered me why is it that it is called Anka 3? It's confusing, it needs to have structural similarities for it to be part of a family of aircrafts or Anka meant to be an umbrella project name but then again A, B, OR 2 can't be a model name it doesn't make sense who is behind this seriously.

I thought the purpose of Süper şimşek was to be visible.To produce in large numbers and spend the enemy's valuable air defense missiles.

This requires a certain volume and energy budget. AI25's APU can't provide such an energy already I think.

Marketing wise and to avoid confusion, that would be a good idea.
Not everyone is going to agree with me, but:
- certain products should have some sort of theme or family of names: Germans name their vehicles and tanks after (big) cats
- names should be Turkish but easy for foreigners, like people have no idea how to pronounce Hürjet (most of the time it sounds like Whore-jet in English videos) and don't get me started on our A2A missiles. People dont know how to pronounce all those soft Gs and Ös. Thats why I personally like the name KAAN, its easy and short.

It is within it’s mission envelopes and mission parameters.
it‘s body and geometry is stealthy. But it has RCS augmenter fitted to make it more visible if needed whilst simulating as a fighter jet to sacrifice itself in place of the jet fighter it is accompanying.
But it can also fly 700km deep in to enemy territory in stealth mode as well. There are 11 basic mission parameters that it has been designed for. EW and jamming, intelligence gathering, air-to-air and air-to-ground attack, swarm attack mode etc etc. When you think a 43kg 155mm shell contains only 6.6kg of explosive weight and causes so much damage; just think how much damage a 35kg explosive can cause on a Super-Simsek operating as a cruise missile..

My humble opinion is, if warhead weight is 35kg it does not necessarily carry 35kg explosive.
We know that usually a good amount of weight goes to the warhead casing.

For example, MK-83 is basically a warhead with fuze. It has total weight of 460kg yet has a filling weight of 202kg explosive only.

Similarly, afaik Tomahawk's warhead has a total weight of 1000lbs, but has a filling weight of 450lbs only.

Here you guys can see (blue) warhead casing in the details.


So, I suspect if Super-Simsek's warhead is 35kg and it is a blast fragmentation, then its filling weight is porbbaly around 20kg. Which would be 2 times more powerful comapred to 155mm shells. (Modern designs consists of 10kg HE.)
