Akıncı UCAV already made its first flight with the MURAD AESA radar on March 1, 2025. Since then, 8 months have passed — a sufficient duration for an airborne testing phase.

Because Akıncı and Kızılelma share almost the same avionics systems, we are likely to see a Gökdoğan air-to-air missile launch from either Kızılelma or Akıncı by the end of this year.
Additionally, the F-16 Özgür flew with the MURAD AESA radar on March 26, 2024. So according to open sources, the MURAD AESA radar has been operating in the air for nearly 2 years

Currently, Baykar is considering its options on twin engine Kızılelma. Baykar might shelve twin engine Kızılelma in favor of a single 20000 lbf class( ~12000lbf dry, ~20000lbf wet thrust) engine. That is why they are willing to develop a 20000 lbs engine. Baykar is aiming for 10000-12000kg MTOW and supercruise capability and more than double the current payload capacity.
I know TF10000 is going to be expensive but new engine development is more expensive. We should focus on the engine we have at hand and build more stuff on top of it instead.

Twin engine is twice the maintenance. A powerful single engine usually gives more power for the same weight. It also opens the doors for a larger twin engine plane. Things can happen over time, new engines come out three years apart. So there is time for each engine to claim its own market both at home and abroad. We need more independent engine makers. TEI can go into power generation and marine turbines as well as possibly high bypass engines leaving a gap behind.
