Poland, Finland, Norway also urge MBTs against Russians.

Anyway welcome to Leopards.
One year ago Poland had
240 Leopards
232 PT 91 Twardy
around 300 T72 mostly in bad shape, some only for parts.

Most T-72 that could be usefull was sent as a taks or as a spare parts to Ukraine, some are still being repaired in factory, after that they are being send too.
Ex polish T72 in Bachmut

PT 91 not clear, maybe some already are gone, maybe not. Nobody is saying anything BUT all of them will sooner or later be gone

So we are left with Leopards but new tanks are slowly coming
2022 - 10 K2 were delivered (so fast that some parts are still being delivered from Korea, they were NOT complete)
2023 - 18 K2 and about 56 M1 Abrams
2024 - 56 K2, 56 M1 Abrams, late 24 we should start getting new M2 SEPv3
2025 - 96 K2
2025-27 250 M2SEPv3

So in 2025 Poland shoud have some 200 Leopards
180 K2
116 M1
and some of 250 M2.

So thats why we can send FEW (no more then 20) Leopards now to break the taboo of west tanks in Ukraine. But other countries shoud participate. Happy to see Finland said YES, Norway will propably say yes too.

Russia's 'revenge' attack on Ukraine! That place was hit, 600 soldiers were killed

RUSSIA took heavy 'revenge' from Ukraine. After the attack in which Ukraine killed 89 Russian soldiers in the past days, the Russian Ministry of Defense made a last-minute announcement today. Ukraine's military barracks were hit by the Russian army and 600 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.""

There is such news. no details.

Nobody with any sense would believe that with the country highly vulnerable to Russian airstrikes (via missile attack) that Ukraine would just stupidly have 600 soldiers hanging out and sleeping in the same dorm. Any sensible person realizes that soldiers are spread out across regions, in company and platoon sized elements. They're also not going be hanging out, en masse, in their known military dorms.

This is the typical Russian BS propaganda to their population anytime something humiliating happens to them. They always respond that they've done something "bigger" and "better". Ukrainians embellish numbers, but the Russians just flat out make things up.

Türkiye will not give any Leo's since we are trying to increase Tank inventory.

Poland, Finland, Norway also urge MBTs against Russians.

Greeks, Hungarians won't give any tanks.

Maybe Spain, Canada could give.

Leopards' supply will be symbolic and in humble numbers from EU. Maximum 50-60 will be supplied.

IMHO Modern IFVs with modern ATGMs are more useful. Upgraded sensors , modern situational awareness, hit-to-kill capacities are more important.

On the other hand currently Does Ukraine lack of MBTs?

Let's see Germans how big balls have.

Anyway welcome to Leopards.

If it were up to me, I'd have Canada give the full 100 leopard 2's it has to Ukraine.

They will be of actual use there in Ukraine.... Canada is also not going to get into any more land wars for long time and the current force is a disproportionate strain to keep fully operational here so they have degraded in support and availability.

It should be easy decision IMO.

It will however take some investment to bring them back up to scratch, so it will have to be part of larger NATO aid package to give all of that in the most comprehensively adequate way:

This is going to be a huge punch in the face to a lot of users, but each of these squares are brigades.

I am going to lose my shit later if Ukraine starts saying shit like Bakhmut was never important anyways story lines.

Edit: x above them are brigades. l = a company, ll = a battalion, lll = a regiment

I actually fundamentally agree with this statement. Canada has no geographic concerns about invasion. The only country that could successfully do it and logistically support their invasion to the point of success, is our neighbour's to the south, the U.S. With that in mind, there is nothing that 80-100 Leopard tanks is going to do to repel an American invasion if they actually decided to do that. We'd be so woefully overmatched in that regard, it wouldn't matter.

Canada would be better to donate their full alotment of tanks to Ukraine and purchase a few hundred of the new Bradley's the Americans are coming out with, in support of our existing force of LAV 6.0's. Canada's terrain and the sheer size of the landmass make tanks less effective as a potential defensive tool. We'd be better to have more mobile equipment (such as the Bradley) that possesses tank killing capability, while serving other purposes as well.

Those who are deceived by the propaganda of the USA and say that Putin suddenly attacked Ukraine.

The Russia-Ukraine war did not start suddenly. Zelensky, like Mitsotakis, started this war with the USA with such provocations.

Look, keep this incident in mind. Because such events are one of the stones that pave the way for another war between Türkiye and greece in the future.
