Just remember that every time Russian simps try to tell you that they're "dominating" in Ukraine, they're simply gaslighting you. Here is the truth. Both sides are suffering horrendous casualties, but Russia is gaining almost not ground in the grand scheme of things. Since December they've taken approximately 0.1% of Ukrainian land (600 KM2) at the cost of tens of thousands of KIA / WIA.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has recaptured 54% of the land that Russia initially took during their invasion, using mostly obsolete versions of soviet-era equipment that is / was vastly outmatched by Russia's. By the conclusion of 2023 Ukraine will have mostly completed its transition to much better Western equipment and will fight more like Western armies, focusing on technology and western style tactics, rather than Russia style zerg rushes and use of artillery to fully destroy cities, rather than occupying them.

The main problem here is that Russia is slowly learning while the West is still reluctant to send weapons

This caused Putin to amass a massive 200,000 personnel in luhansk alone and the news of a massive Russian counterattack till Lyman is iminnent and Bakhmut is nearly surrounded and Ukraine may lose it at any moment

If Putin won this war, then the repercussions will be great

There are "hate crime" laws, which are effectively the Sharia Law of Progressivism. But by all means, try it yourself and you can report back to us from a Swedish prison, like the guy in the US (a much freer country than Sweden) who was imprisoned for 16 years for burning an LGBT flag, or the 2 kids in Canada arrested for burning the LGBT flag and threatened with imprisonment if they don't attend brainwashing camp.

The truth is, these Westerners are as vicious to defend what they believe is the truth (ie: progressivism) as much as what people they label as "hardliners", "zealots" or "fanatics" in the other parts of the globe who defend what they believe is the truth.

So yes, the "sharia law of progressivism" is the correct choice of words. In fact every "free and free thinking" ideologies will turn into something authoritarian once they are in power (read : communism).

As the Russians and Ukrainians themselves say, Russia has lost its most combat-ready units. The army that invaded on February 24, 2022 was the most combat-ready, Russia lost them, they were all killed. The number of lost equipment and shells is also large. Because of the sanctions, Russia cannot quickly create new equipment, make electronic stuffing for equipment.
It is difficult for a state with 1.5% of the world economy's GDP to fight with states whose GDP is 60% of the world economy.
During World War II, the United States and Britain provided generous financial and technical support to the USSR. Russia did not take into account many facts of that war, made the mistake of thinking that the USSR alone defeated Germany. Russia has become a victim of its own propaganda about the greatness of Russia.

Yes they were able to stabilize the battlefront thanks to throwing to a certain death the people who were collecting along russian prisons. 15 kms towards Bahkmut since April.

It doesn't seems something to be proud of. In fact at some moment that might create important tensions inside Russia, despite those people were imprisioned and had signed a contratct with Wagner. They were treated as pure meat.

Are ATACMS finally arriving? That would be a mayor shift. Late spring seems promising.

To me it looks like during these winter months that its a strategy to let Russians waste their energies over fighting in the worst conditions. You look at the deliveries and planned delivers to come with tanks and what not, the backers of Ukraine made a call for Ukraine to play defensively until the spring comes around.

But i came to conclusion a while back that this war is pretty much over for Russia, they are completely at the mercy of what weapons the west plans to send.

As for the news about predator drones, if they are sent erdogan should send akinci, any attacks or munitions launched can be placed at the feet of the predator drones. I suspect this has been going on with Turkiyes guided rocket artillary which oryx claims was actually sent to Ukraine before Himars. Every rocket guided strike is dedicated to Himars but it wouldnt surprise me if many strikes as also the Turkish TRGL systems.

The loss of Bakhmut (yes it is an important transport hub) isn't important what is important is that about 13 % or more of the Ukrainian military is going to be encircled.

you are right about the time not favouring Ukrainian. One of the reasons why Russia performed so poorly was because the idiots went to war without mobilizing their troops in the correct way. From what I understand, the Russian military is meant to keep its units at strength during peacetime and restore them to full strength by mobilizing the reserves. Russia entered the war by not telling its own military that they were going to invade. The Russian military was neither mentally prepared for a battle nor prepared in military materially. A great deal of Russian equipment had been damaged by environmental factors and sold off for drinking money.

All of this led to the Russian military not only suffering a lot of casualties but also getting bogged down, thus leading the Russian military instructors to be sent to fill the role that reservists were meant to fill. The Russians sent the people who were meant to train other soldiers to the front line to strengthen the undermanned units. Without those instructors, the Russians were not able to give proper training to the mobilised reserves, which is why their mobilization has been terrible.

Of cause, all this is slowly being solved by Russia, which means that the great Russian meat grinder is getting ready to send wave after wave of Russian soldiers into the battlefield, which is why Ukraine want to end the war as fast as possible.

At the rate of which the Russians advanced, the Ukrainians would retreat faster than any Russian encirclement and plenty of time for them to do so.

i am getting like 20k on Russia side to be honest on KIA. the reason for Ukraine's huge capture was that for the 1st two months they used 300k troops and then have withdrawn forces to just use 80K in the operation which makes sense because 40k Russian troops are pushing a bigger force than hem back. Ukrainian mathematical claims has now become huge joke in many instances but non-retarded pro-ukraine users exist like julian roepke starting to see through the bullshit.
Russia started war with:
* 1 million regular army
* 340 K Rosgvardiya
* 40 K so called LDNR regular force
* 200 K so called LDNR mobiks

Then they also started creating "volunteer" brigades in each region, sent Nazi "Rusich", tens of thousands Wagner, Redut, Patriot and other mercenaries..

Finally they mobilized another 320 K.

Yet you somehow claim that poor Russians are always outnumbered. :cry::cry:

I know that most common speeds of MRLS systems are mach 3+, wouldn't launching the glide bomb just kill the speeds to subsonic?

From https://www.army-technology.com/projects/small-diameter-bomb-glsdb/
The GLSDB combines capabilities of the SDB I air-launched weapon and the M26 ground-based rocket motor. Designed for launch from the ground artillery system, the GLSDB provides land forces with the ability to engage a range of targets in complex operating environments.

It's simple, a MRLS launchs the rocket, when it reaches near max range, it deploys the self guided bomb, using the old and cheap M26 rocket motor, that seeks and finds the target. It isn't ATCAMS rockets, but it costs 40k vs 1M for ATCAMS, so we can expect this before the big brother, once AA defenses are worn out.

I haven't been following the Ukrainian war for some time but it seems to me that Russians managed after months of fighting to liberate territory where they can grow 200 tons of cabbage. To propagate such achievement they spent electricity on Internet worth 400 tons of cabbage. Am I missing something?
