Just remember that every time Russian simps try to tell you that they're "dominating" in Ukraine, they're simply gaslighting you. Here is the truth. Both sides are suffering horrendous casualties, but Russia is gaining almost not ground in the grand scheme of things. Since December they've taken approximately 0.1% of Ukrainian land (600 KM2) at the cost of tens of thousands of KIA / WIA.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has recaptured 54% of the land that Russia initially took during their invasion, using mostly obsolete versions of soviet-era equipment that is / was vastly outmatched by Russia's. By the conclusion of 2023 Ukraine will have mostly completed its transition to much better Western equipment and will fight more like Western armies, focusing on technology and western style tactics, rather than Russia style zerg rushes and use of artillery to fully destroy cities, rather than occupying them.
