And i say, even if that's all true. It's still American's fault as their trainers. They could have selected capable men as their commanders. You can create a capable fighting force from anyone. As i seen in the Turkish military.

Not that i'm saying it was the duty of Americans. Afghans should decide their fate not foreign powers. If they want to live in the middle-ages with backward fanatics in the power.... so, be it.

Washington, CIA, the Pentagon is all being run by idiots without any knowledge neither on the geopolitics of the world nor on the realities in Afghanistan (or Iraq, Syria, Libya... even Turkey as we see daily). They think that by following their outdated text books, and throwing billions on something they will solve a problem. They see the world through their American Liberal or Neo-Con lens and that's it.

I am more than sure that if Turkish officers and generals were training the Afghan forces they would have made an 100 times better job than the Americans. Even without their resources the fact that Turks are closer to the region historically and to some extent culturally would have helped much more than supplying Humvees and Drones etc.

Obviously not an exhaustive list - should including beheadings, forced incestuous marriages, kidnappings and forced conversions amongst others. If I am not mistaken the UK has a task force for its own citizens to deal with some of these issues.

Both Taliban and those trained by US are Afghan nationals. We saw how Taliban mow down government forces. So, it basically means that Taliban is much more better than US in terms of training Afghan combat force.

With respect it's more than that. Typical Talib recruit is a volunteer. He does not join the movement for a monthly salary, uniform, regular food, pension or prospects of promotion. The Talib is foremost a deeply religious man and who has been conditioned or has iman depending on your POV. He fights for Allah and is prepared to lay his life down for the cause. Such a force is highly motivated, fearless and make great combat soldiers.

Whereas ANA recruit was just a guy looking for a secure wage and possibility of graft on the side - like selling US supplied equipment etc. He was in fact a mercenery of a foreign power and Afghan in name only.

He was the Quisling.

Indians don't send troops as a matter of policy unless requested or if there is a surfeit of refugees pouring into India.
