@Brave Janissary this is just one of the ideas i have scratched recently upon your question in the other thread.

Moved RAM to the fore on elavated platform, gökdeniz located in place of RAM, vision of the bridge in uninterrupted.

Credits to the çınar çakmak, for the drawings of systems and the ship.

CIWS such as Phalanx especially Millenium gun and of course Gökdeniz are much more efficient than RAM systems. Remember some AshM are supersonic and then last phase the missiles burst 200-300 little tiny pieces. İn This situations just Gökdeniz could save the ship, thanks to 3p ammo barrage.

Don't be too harsh on RAM, RAM and CIWS are best to be used together, on 1 to 1 basis RAM is better, but more expensive solution. American Aircraft carries uses RAM, CIWS and also ESSM for self protection

My concept for naval war.

Boat drones.

Took an old boat, ships that's past it's service life. Strip the gun, took out the bridge, install a satellite comms or signal repeater so it could be moved from a command ships disguised as a cargo ship somewhere else,

Send it as bait the way Azerbaijan uses it's AN-2.

Adding sonar would be interesting . Old ships not just aging of metal. Their diesels are also unreliable. We should forget about old ships.

No, this to attract fire, so that when the main friendly fleet came, the enemy is gonna run out of missile already.

Sure? I mean hitting a fast moving target (boat) if you also drive fast, is damn difficult. Not to mention hitting some targets (bunkers/cave/vehicles) on islands, only with gunfire could maybe not enough.

Looking forward to single barrel 40mm - 35mm Gökdeniz just like Korhan's turret btw :)
Asymmetric threats are increasing and ATOM is a must for small surface threats.
And for the missiles, i think there is a need for UMTAS-ER, or Cirit-ER with large capacity launchers (above 12 per launcher) for the applications similar to the LIG -NEXT1 , will be a deadly combo with Alpagu Block-III(N) (totally made it up) canister launched mini UAS to do laser targeting.
In Contrary to land forces who prefers 2 missiles, TN likes more canisters in a single launcher. (unless it is re-loadable by personnel)

@UkroTurk what would be your ideal weapon station on ARES 80 SAT boat, let's say scenario is to capture enemy positions on an Island.

Here's clean slate ARES 80 SAT -

For me, 35mm Navalised KORHAN turret would be ideal

Put gökdeniz in place of the quad-launcher, fits much better :) + AKR on top of the bridge with MAR-D on mast. Gökdeniz will have its own FCR.
Additional quad - 8 packed sungur launchers can be added at the rear in place of mine laying rails, and 4-8 MrAshM in place of Anti submarine rockets -depth charges.
And vola, it is not an ASW patrol boat anymore. :)

There was a boat model with cockerill turret for İndonesia

For retaking our occupied islands , i would prefer AMOS mortar boats.

I think this is the model which was shown in fairs (hull 214), is it the land-test unit or actual prototype which is operational at sea?

Again i came up with an crazy idea.

Av-8 harriers are blamed for being subsonic. What if you put second engine vertically:) british electric lightning ( mach2 speed) has vertical two engine.
You just add lift nozzles to the bottom engine and get a supersonic vtol fighter.

:)

İnteresting fighter design with vertical twin engine.

EDIT: anyway F35 B is much better than av-8 and yak141 because F35B's front vertical lift not uses hot exhaust gas, it pushes cold air so landing much more safe. So There is any over heating problem in landing process.
