Here you go: https://www.usnews.com/education/best-global-universities/iran/engineering

It's in the top 30 overall (if you examine by individual courses like chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering, some are even higher). This goes for others as well like Islamic Azad University, which ranks in the top 50 for engineering. This is actually an improvement over what I remember, University of Tehran used to be in the 40s while Azad was even lower.

Iranian schools may not be amazing across the board but when it comes to engineering, they rank relatively highly in the region.
Bro, look at global ranking. Tehran university is on #353. This is not much.

We need one in Swiss, Austria, Netherland.

I think the strategy is good. If TAI was ready to pay Swiss or Dutch salaries, we wouldn't have any brain-drain to those countries to begin with. But we cant really compete with the numbers offered in those countries. Plenty of talent in the developing countries with no to low employment and projects

But I wasn't talking about global ranking covering everything. I was talking specifically about the engineering sector.

The new drones ordered by Morocco

After having received a first order for the 13 Turkish armed drones Bayraktar TB2, Morocco is in the process of ordering a new batch of 6 drones of the same type. 'The army of Mohammed VI is preparing to place another order of armed drones Bayraktar TB2, from the Turkish Baykar, in the midst of soaring tensions in Western Sahara and with the Algerian neighbor,' Africa Intelligence reported on Thursday.

Contract of almost $12 million signed between Aselsan and an "international customer" - which I'm pretty sure we all know who is.

Expect them to have an upgraded version of their copied TB-2s soon.
I don't think UAE has any issues with acquiring Hensoldt E/O or Wescam products.
Could be Qatar as well and any other customer that Aselsan works with (There are plenty).

Heard they are trying to develop indigenously designed and assembled EO/IR solutions for their UAVs.

Not entirely accurate, it's the exports in total. This includes the ammunition too and maybe other equipment we dont know about.
For only the 13 drones it was aproximentaly 62 million euros. I guess the rest remaining 20 million was for some ammunition. Morocco recently went for 6 more tb2, those are also not included in the list i guess.

Are the engineers who are developing the technology emirates(muslim, arab engineers)? Or is it a foreign company operating in UAE? If it's the latter, who owns the IPR?

IP is owned 100% by the UAE and most of the Junior engineers are Emirati Arab origin. Senior engineers are South Africans mostly with some Brazillians and other nationalities involved in the programs.

Company came from a struggle to own IP and expertise from Denel instead of just assembly. Denel is now basically defunct but stole most engineers.

The plan is in the next 10 years 400 Emiratis will be able to develop almost everything independently.

Turkey's defense and aerospace industry exports quadruple in a decade

Turkey is the first country coming to mind when one speaks about unmanned aerial vehicles. Turkey has become a global brand in UAVs, UCAVs and other products in the defense and aerospace industry.

You can be friend with him, but you need to be fair!!
