Those refugees are not going to return back to Syria even if you pay them. I already said it but i think it's too late for these refugees. The governement should have closed the borders with Syria / Iran at least 10 years earlier when the war in Syria had just begun. Unfortunately they messed up really hard on the issue. I mean 4 million Syrians alongside 1 million Afghan, Iranian, Pakistanis, Africans ... I don't know what they were thinking to be honest.

They are trying to reach Europe.

Even the refugees know Turkey is too poor lmao.

Seriously Erdogan got screwed by the EU. Erdogan is too stubborn due to his high horse bs of how he is the saviour of the Ummah.

Honestly by forcing refugees to stay is making shit even worse you cant force people to stay at one place forever.

Turkish people should be pissed off at Erdogan and the EU for screwing them over.

This has to be one of the biggest screw overs in history.
Many of the Pakistanis want to stay in Turkey lol, Ertugrul and Fahrettin Altun's propaganda machine aimed at Pak-Turk Friendship and through several networks (especially smuggling, which became big in Idlib and Turkey at the start of the civil war) it became very easy to go to Turkey.

this youtube channel and things like it:

have been running with multiple social media accounts like this for years. Erdogan just realized its easier to demographically engineer his own voterbase instead of elsewhere for security.

secondly, that million refugees going to that city he is building in Idlib? there are already million plus living in Idlib in tents, they are going to go live in that place, refugees wont leave Turkey but they will vote for Erdogan.

if you don't like it, jail for you, even if you use anonymous account. Police of Turkey will announce you on entire social media

Glad border with Iraq is restricted, Erdogan has some very bad policies we do not want any more spillover from what he does all the time with his love for extremists

Sorry for asking , what would happen if Putin started bombing İdlib in order to punish European countries who supply weapons to Ukraine?

İt wouldn't be surprising since he did it once.

As if Iraq is clean so much of your bullshit always spilled over into Turkiye.

We dont forget most of the suicide bombers who blew parts of Turkiye came from Iraq itself.

Especially the Kurds are all complicit in it.

This refugee problem is getting out of hand. Right now, it's an even bigger threat than PKK. We've seen countless of cases where these "refugees" show off weapons that not even Turkish citizens are allowed to own.

Crazy how our small border with Iran can't even be controlled, every week we see videos of hundreds of MEN coming into the country. Where is our military?

On one hand we are excited by all the military projects we see. On the other hand, we're not even attempting to stop these droves of so called refugees. None of our projects will matter if we are rotten from the inside.

I'm afraid we are seeing something worse than FETÖ and PKK combined. The worst part is, the government is supporting this new disease. All because they know they will lose the next elections.

Tarikats and these so called refugees are AKPs last hope. Once AKP loses, they will become an even bigger security threat. There might be a limited period of chaos, similar to when PKK unleashed terror attacks around the end of 2015.

This is a lesson to never mix religion with politics again. AKP is once again switching its image, this time it will lash out at the opposition by calling them fascists and racists because they don't want refugees. Get ready for an Islamist + "humanist" tone by AKP for the 2023 elections.

A tough few years approaches us. Luckily, we have a strong voice on our side, Umit Özdağ.

Refugee crisis could have easily been solved if countries all of them took in a certain amount rather than making 1 country take millions.

Top 10 refugee taking countries are not from rich countries like Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, Gulf Arab countries and the USA.

If people think Turks are racist I guess they never saw the ultra uber racism that mainly dominates in Far Eastern countries like China, Japan and Korea.

No, it's quite possible to send them back. Deportations of millions are not a new thing nor especially heinous.

"But what if the refugees violently resist?"

Then they essentially forfeit all their human rights and become a rogue element that the Turkish government won't even have to treat with kiddie gloves anymore due to concerns for citizen's safety.

We think Bashar al assad is the solution.

Only solution is to drone strike bashar al assad and handover control to the majority sunni population while the Syrian Turkmen get their own autonomous region.

We just have to take more Syrian land and settle refugees while destroying ypg.

Since the refugees wont return since Bashar is there.

Another problem complicated is refugees from Africa, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Turkey has always been a bridge for refugees to get into Europe. Turkey should have not signed that refugee deal with the eu.

Erdogan got played just so he can get that sweet eu money.

Turkiye is not a rich country hence why the sentiment is hostile.

Mix in a shit economy, corruption, job losses you have a toxic environment.

Refugees acting like they own the country and engaging in criminal acts will only make things worse.

Lets not forget here is an example most refugees who came to the usa from cuba actually had criminal backgrounds.

Think of it this way, Syrian refugees are here to stay for as long as our administration believe they are of value as leverage. Security forces are trying hard to sweep dirt under the rug, even call or text known anti-refugee accomplices(!) not to act so! Officials are already overwhelmed by public reaction. Goverment knows a spark out of nowhere will sure eliminate the plan in action.

Refugees are here to stay for sometime, until we secure a permanent seat at the table to decide on Syria’s future. Government is keen to have the upper hand against PKK/YPG, to prevent any fait accompli along our borders. I for one believe that it is a valid reason (to at least act as a protector), but sooner or later, Syrian refugees will have to be relocated and/or confined in certain areas along the border, hopefully on the Syrian side. Otherwise a spark is enevitable...

EDIT: I guess we will have to suck it up a little longer…
Blame-game is in fashion nowadays, I am not pro-refugee, far from it…

Sure.... good luck doing that with both the US and Russia being present in the damn shithole known as Syria. With the recent events, I might say Turkey can delve deeper by 40 km or so if there is a fight against the Russians (since they suck) but the US is still a monster that can crush Turkey both economically and militarily and while I did say that Russia suck lets not forget that Ukraine is proving such fact with US-made weapons and critical US intel that told the Ukranians exactly where to critically strike; another proof of why the US is a monster. Above all, the US wants the PKK to have borders with Turkey or how wilo they cause havoc within the country

Erdogan got played since the EU promised him free visas for Turks as well as a trade deal; yet they didnt do any of what they promised! I still dont know why he isnt throwing the refugees away. The two main things that are plaguing Erdo rn is his economic policy and refugees; if he threw the refugees away, his support base will increase yet he doesnt and I dont know why

Nice Idea if the West actually cares about refugees

Sadly the white Western christians dont like any of those who arent European, white-skin, or Christian; thus, Muslims are hated, black and brown ppl are hated and non-EU are hated

They will portray themselves as peaceloving and are the bastion of human rights; yet when push comes to shove, they will throw the towel...... Typical Europe....

Just look at Ukraine, they immediately accepted refugees but are throwing Syrians into the sea even though Russia is a main actor in both shits

They believe that the Afghans, Syrians, Africans, Pakistanis, Iranians, and Middle Easterners are of an inferior race; thus, refusing to take them

the flow of refugees to turkey was deliberately brought about and the biggest rush didn't even come in 2011, but during the strongest phase of IS around 2015 - the refugee deal was closed because Europe wanted to fuck turkey again - our best friends...
this dirty game, after GEZI, Davos, etc., had only one goal - to destabilize Turkey in the long term - at the same time, eastern Turkey was occupied by the PKK.. a coincidence? no...
Erdogan has to pay for being so naive in this case and thinking he was the savior of the middle east... instead of securing the borders....
Turkey should never have intervened in Syria but should have closed the borders completely - not with a 1 m high plastic wall, but seriously fortified - the only billion projects that would have helped turkey in the long term..
do you really believe the west (Russia is sufficiently weakened) is that important to turkey?
FSA is funded and was founded by the USA on Turkish soil, then Turkey got abandoned as a result, "dictatorship of opinion" and news blocks of western media for over 10 years change the memory of society = Turkey founded/is the reason for FSA, Nusra and IS.
what would happen if turkey declared war on Syria? to eliminate Assad and his MEMBERS... for the west is Assad > Turkey and so embargoes and sanctions would result...
how can the TL perform worse than the Ruble? > Price manipulation during a weak global economy... simple...

many should finally, FINALLY, understand - what a subtle game is being played...
Erdogan will pay for that... i am sure -
