US Navy follows us💪
Damn dual 35mm Korkut too bulky would it be better for TurNavy single barrel 30mm Korkut?
Wait for the multi-purpose 35mm gun but it would be much better if Aselsan could do some compact way of feeding these guns through the deck.

Mr Ismail Demir: We are not stopping with I-class frigate. New versions of it are being developed.
STM has been working on several refined concepts to allow USV operations with dedicated towed-array-sonar and VDS bay. Also 2 more for the exports,
But i don't think this related to TF-100 or multi-purpose frigate project. Armerkom works on the concept of the MPF.

TF-100 is confirmed
Not the TF-100 actually, Navy would do the concept of TF-100 and STM if lucky will act as the design subcontractor. I think these will settled this year.

TF-100 (It is not an official photo, it was shared on a very old forum.) I like the VLS place.

-Sefine is working with several Turkish companies including Aselsan for the autonomous unmanned vehicles (AUV) that could be deployed from the ship, and which can be equipped with different payloads such as torpedoes, anti-ship missiles, rockets, jammers, etc. Aselsan is also responsible for many electronic systems of the ship, Havelsan and Turkish Lloyd are also part of the project.

Assignment has been made on who will lead TF-2000 Program and soon tender process will start. The TF-2000 is a very comprehensive program and it is expected that design/development processes of the main systems to be placed on it will reach a certain stage. TF-2000 is being developed for ÇAFRAD, ÇAFRAD is not for TF-2000...

If those question marks is about Cafrad;
It is our domestically produced complete radar systems.

You may read more about it here:

So, as we have a complete operationally sound radar system in hand, the ship is being built around it.

You do not develop the most expensive and modern warship just for a testbed to a radar system.

Of course not. Structurally and from a naval engineering point of view you are correct.
First of all it is not a test bed scenario. Cafrad is the culmination of decades long design and development which has proven itself on various tests, at land and at sea.
But when your Cafrad is worth nearly half of your destroyer, plus every defensive, surveillance and assault system in your destroyer is going to depend on and operated by this radar system, you are pushed in to designing and building your destroyer around it. It is the heart and soul of the ship.

And they did not. And it’s not any other radar system tbh. It was a non-existing warfare capability of the TN.
If you carefully read the above post, you’ll see that the testbed was a G-class frigate.
What the posters really saying was that ÇAFRAD was such a huge technological leap forward, not merely an important feature of a combat vessel (TF2000 project).
Therefore from day one the ship was designed to operate along this new concept. In fact that’s one of the main reasons it (the ship) was delayed so long

And they are not doing such, TF-2000 will be pinnacle of Turkish naval shipbuilding&design capabilities. Both CAFRAD and TF-2000 is being shaped by will of Turkish Navy. Ibrahim Sunnetci is right from a single point of view but if we see as whole: CAFRAD has changed from central system to distributed system with the latest iteration of TF-2000, which caused a change in both, as increased survivability requirement placed by TN. So it wasn't quite related to a change in CAFRAD but a certain requirement placed by Navy to have two pair of search radars and illumination radars separated on fore and aft positions of the supper structure.

But any other EMW emitting system (EW suite, comms, data links) placed on the ship literally being shaped around CAFRAD.

Note: it is TN governing both and actually conducting conceptual design studies of the ship.
