If a fast forty variant is also targeted to exceed 400 rounds per minute, the system could be used to defend against anti-ship missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and other precision-guided weapons. It could also be used against conventional and rotary wing aircraft, surface ships, small watercrafts, coastal targets and floating mines.

An MLU package including HIZIR-TKAS/LFAS and 40 mm stealth cupola CIWS for Tuzla class patrol boats would be great.

Alright, from what I understand this SAHA is not a corporate but more of an NGO which consists universities, industrial members from various sectors and even SMEs (KOBİ in Turkish) and they call their enterprise as Cluster.

My question is, did they form a company to design this gun or they’re only an association, NGO? I’m confused.

Bro, the poster includes the name of the company that developing the system. http://www.saver.com.tr/

SAHA Istanbul is the name of an organization established to create a clustering and ecosystem in the field of advanced technology and aerospace. March 2015, with the initiatives of 27 founding members, SAHA Istanbul defence, Aviation and Space Clustering Association was established. The cluster has chosen Technopark Istanbul, located in Pendik, as its centre.

According to this table, can I assume that while Dardo uses Bofors L70, Kaan will use an indigenously developed identical barrel?
Or is Kaan being developed around Bofors L70 in mind?

Until recent years, the main anti-aircraft artillery systems installed in Turkiye were the Bofors-L70 and Oerlikon GDF-003, which have been modernized many times. We use the same armament for 40mm Otobreda navalguns on naval platforms. So there is a lot of experience with this type. Especially on the ammunition side.

My short answer, It could be the same barrel, that is same armament. Because when you look at the specs, they have identically the same values. Or, as you said, it may be an indigenous development that aimd the same level. Honestly, I have no idea. The reason I share the above table is that we are developing a system that will exactly replace the DARDO system.

Footnote: Sweden recently announced the full end of its arms embargo against TAF.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I am aware of their lifting the embargo but somehow it’s not reassuring because… Sweden

Does the I class have a similar concept, or is it more comparable to the TF-2000?

The meko A-300 capabilities :
- "We've already packed the ship with anti-aircraft warfare ( AAW ), anti-surface warfare ( ASuW ) and anti-submarine warfare ( ASW ) assets with hard-kill and easy-to-kill assets."
- The ship has two ‘fighting islands’, one forward and one aft. Each contains propulsion, electrical supply, command and control (C2), and sensors and effectors to support full, three-dimensional offensive and defensive warfare, Kamerman explained. The whole idea is that if the ship sustains damage, it does not sink. It will continue to float while moving. It can defend itself and attack, even if half of the ship is rendered effective.

This is in-between TF-2000 and I class

Yes in displacement. I was thinking more the features of the «next gen» meko compared to what turkey is planning to develope. I can see that they went with alot of weapons for offensive role, Unmanned boats, laser defensive weapons, aswell as constructing the hull in a way for maximum survivability.

Looks fabulous! But Where is the sensor?

Doesn't it looks like phalanx's bottom part! Anybody else noticed the similarity?

It will be integrated later, MKE does not produce electronics or radars. Another company will develop that end along with CMS integration and automation.

Yes, this system uses the integrated radar network, not it's own
Not really.
