Seems like there won't be ESSM but only HISAR RF D, when first testing MIDLAS from TCG Istanbul, so the most important question is when I class enters inventory, what will the VLS setup be ?
case 1: 16 Hisar RF D, no dual pack, no quadpack
case 2: 16 Hisar RD D dual pack and 8 SIper block 1
case 3: 16 Siper
case 4: 32 Hisar RF D, 8 Siper block 1
case 5: 64 Hisar RF D :)

i really hope we can at least have case 2
Don't you see 4 Hisar RF are quadpacked in your photo?

Havelsan Çaka!

Çaka is able to dive under the water like a submarine and become totally hidden from threat. This concept will totally change everything in naval warfare. This capability is not a thing human-being has ever tested in real environment and no warship has a self defence against such a surprise attack.

Congratulations Havelsan and Turkish engineer. You all made us very proud.

In a time when a few subsonic anti-ship missiles can sink flagship of the world's second largest superpower (accepted), with these revolutionary naval saturation strike systems developed by Turkish defence industry, you can destroy the entire navy of a country while it is still trying to leave breakwater. This is no joke. Combining of all these capabilities all together inside the same advanced network and a good planning, The enemy won't even find time to even take a safe breath

Before we go into details lets first get the terminology right.
A Vertical Launch System consists of modules with a number of cells These modules can be in cells of 8,16,32 or 64 . Or it can be any number of cells that fits in to the hull of the ship if it is a naval platform using it.
These cells are filled with canisters that contain missiles. These canisters can be packed with single, dual or quad missiles.

Cells of MK41 VLS

These missiles when fired give out tremendous amount of heat, and the flames from the exhaust gasses must be ducted out in a safe manner. Every cell group has an individual exhaust duct system that releases these flames and gasses.

Now, according to the size of our VLS MILDAS and the size of the missiles that will be accommodated within the canisters that will fit in to the modules and cells, Roketsan will try to fit as many of these missiles as possible in to each canister, as per the directives of the Naval Command.
Also as per the post shared above by our @UkroTurk , that contains Mr I Sunnetci’s comments; Hisar D RF missile will have quad packability . But using in MILDAS , the ESSM may not be possible as there seems to be a compatibility issue between MILDAS and ESSM .

It is imperative for our MILDAS to accommodate quad packability of Siper too. This will help a lot in ships like Istanbul Class where space and number of usable cells are sparse .

Quadpacking SİPER?
İt could be possible just adding booster to this new type of Hisar RF-D( which could be quadpacked)

Kinda ESSM -ER .

@Yasar

Edit:

Quadpacked SİPER would look like:

AMRAAM"ilzed version of ESSM

or AMRAAM ER

İf Çaka can carry 200kg payload, the USW could launch very light torpedos.
USA developing very light torpedos which weight app 100kg with 10-12nm range.

Turkish Navy should have such very light torpedos.

On the other hand which defense systems could stop ÇAKA USV?
İf it is surfaced, just fire and forget guided missiles could since the USV is rapid and maneuver.

İf the USV is submerged i have no idea:)
May be light Torpedos??

They were also testing them as countermeasure for torpedoes as well, as in use very light torpedoes to destroy torpedoes that attack your ship/submarine.

Siper can also be quadpacked but the booster section needs a redesign.

How about directly skipping to SIPER block ii? (Does not need a booster and has longer range)

I don't think any of the missiles we see are quadpackable in their current versions anyways. I think they are planned for future blocks.
Hisar-D RF is quadpackable and it is confirmed. If we attach a new booster to Hisar-D RF we can get a quadpackable Siper.

Wouldn't be better cancelled all Hisar variants but RF Naval one with folding wings. İf you need quad packed SIPER just add slim booster bottom of Hisar O RF Naval. Just two type of missiles.

İf you need more than SIPER like SM-2 , just enlarge the fuselage.

BTW 64x VLS for a 3600t frigate is an overkill. 16x Atmaca, 12x4=48x Hisar-D RF, 20x1= 20x Siper for a total of 32x cells is more than enough. That frigate will also have Levent or Göksur missie CIWS and Gökdeniz CIWS.

bro unfortunatly slim booster added Hisar O RF is not = SIPER
Since seems that SİPER with INS+GPS, RF guidance and two way data link has more advance guidance than HİSAR O RF
