First time we see a Seahawk on TCG Istanbul?
Haven't still solved the problem of not enough ASW Helicopters too.

Two radars were rotating coherently. 360degree covering , no gap.
Just felt the need to share this, counting down the days…
Egypt will pay 260 million euros for maintenance and integrated Logistic Support services for their 2 FREMM class frigates in a 10-year agreement.
Do we know the cost regarding maintenance and other related services of the I-Class or Ada-class?
It says acceptance tests completed and this test demonstrated the system aligning and ‘arresting’ the heli. So, like you said, there must be some arresting test in adverse conditions down the road, I presume.Since this is a first time LIDAR is used on the ship instead of laser beacon on the heli, i am wondering how good the system is in adverse weather where the air is literally filled in with thousands of water particle causing wrong detection. Maybe they have a paper published like some aselsan products?
Thanks. It seems there is no lidar. I was fooled by a twitter account that spread lies for clicks. It says acceptance tests completed and this test demonstrated the system aligning and ‘arresting’ the heli. 13 million per year, if including maintance of electronics or anything aboard with spares is quite a reasonable or good price.Egypt will pay 260 million euros for maintenance and integrated Logistic Support services for their 2 FREMM class frigates in a 10-year agreement.

1st replacement, so far. OPVs are equipped by another product, developed locally. (Sonitus & HeliPlat).Altınay's ASIST replacement is dubbed the Kuşkapanı/Birdtrap. I like it.
Its acceptance tests were completed aboard TCG Istanbul.
That Lidar one has been proposed as an R&D project but use of Lidar is still boggling my mind. A laser beam provides sufficient information for a 1D moving arrest system, what Lidar would do apart from sensing 3D image of the platform is the arrest system is still moving in a similar manner.Since this is a first time LIDAR is used on the ship instead of laser beacon on the heli, i am wondering how good the system is in adverse weather where the air is literally filled in with thousands of water particle causing wrong detection. Only in Turkey you would see 2 local replacements for such a niche product. Good luck to both companies.1st replacement, so far. OPVs are equipped by another product, developed locally. (Sonitus & HeliPlat).

Thanks, I have been wondering if Altinay and HeliPlat's systems are different.1st replacement, so far. OPVs are equipped by another product, developed locally. (Sonitus & HeliPlat).

They are developing the sensing end of the project (has not proposed officially, yet), likely can be incorporated into STM's or HeliPlat's solution.? - Berkin Engineering (Under development):
I believe both of these will be (have been) certified up to Sea State 5.Kuskapani - STM & Altinay (Delivered on TCG Istanbul Istif-class frigate):

You still need an integration on the helicopter, the pilot needs a low latency feedback on the aircraft's relative position-velocity w.r.t. the platform. A Lidar is more prone for equipment failures however, if they are intending to develop a 5-axis capable arm - arrest system then this would be interesting. For the Lidar, the advantage would be the elimination of helicopter modification to integrate the laser beacon.
I was just coming here to post this too. Interesting layout on Milgem+. Bow mounted Levent? This indeed looks like an enlarged corvette or export.
I was just coming here to post this too. Interesting layout on Milgem+. Can probably carry 4x6 ASMs but not sure about the VLS.
