FNSS is taking part in Saudi tender with Pars Alpha. The tender foresees the aquiring of 600 vehicles in the first phase up to +1500 vehicles.

-————

Man I’m not even not gonna say anything anymore. Other countries are buying our vehicles en mass and we still don’t have a 6x6 8x8 in our inventory yet the tender has been on going for over a decade now.

just a joke

This has to be the second project Otokar with Rabdan is also taking part in. FNSS and Otokar managed to be direct competitors again.
Here is Alpha's brochure and I know it is meant to be ad for the vehicle, but it really looks good. I love how modular it is, from 120mm gun to g2a missiles for aa missions to 2 120mm mortars it can be used for any mission.
Unlike the leak, no mention of removable mission modules tho :( And also no mention of a hybrid drivetrain or powerpack. Alpha looks to be built for Saudi needs directly, not as FNSS' next gen IFV.

Why does every tender for the Land Forces become a mystery?
ÖMTTZA(100 vehicles. 95 sensor, radar, CBRN and command vehicles, 5 IFVs for gendarme) was signed in Dec 2019 and had a project length of 36 months. All deliveries were to be completed from 24th to 36th months. At this point, no deliveries have been made and program is 2 years behind the schedule. Boys in the army are still using M113s for these roles and gendarme still don't have their IFVs.

Tümosan was to deliver the engines for these vehicles. As we haven't heard anything from their development in years, I think Tümosan engines are left behind and they will probably use BMC's Azra if and when it becomes ready. What a sham. For this exact point, unless deliveries are complete, we can never, evet trust a procurement to go through. Another lesson in bad project management.

EDR Magazine, my favorite together with Defence Turkey Magazine:

Hybrid ready, more agile compared to others, has more protection but with same 34-35t weight, and it's gross weight is scalable over 40 tonnes.

Even Saudi Arabian Army has better requirements for its Turrets then our Land Forces, I am gonna lose it soon.
Now we also know why Otokar has integrated ATGMs to its Turrets and showed it off.

Don't worry guys we gonna outmatch the enemy with our 25mm pea shooters which couldn't even penetrate house walls in Syria leading our soldiers to waste ATGMs on house walls. 💪

Some news on KKK's own YNZMA NGAFV project.

I remember people asking why do we even modernize old ACV AFVs and APCs when YNZMA was just on the horizon. We now have our answer.

"The total requirement of the Turkish Armed Forces in the New Generation Armored Combat Vehicles project was around 1300 vehicles, but was later reduced to 360. The first batch, for which the SSİK decision is expected, is thought to be around 50. Within the scope of the YNZMA project, the tests that started in 2020 were completed around September 2023. FNSS delivered the BAFO (best and final offer) in December. There are approximately 19 vehicles in different configurations to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces."

YNZMA tests were completed on September 2023 and number of (wheeled?) vehicles were lowered from 1300 to 360. While the first batch will be 50 vehicles only. 19 different configurations are to be inducted into service. Not clear if SSİK decision is waiting for the engines or for BMC to get its shit together with Altuğ. If 360 is not the first general batch and total number, huge let down and would mean we will continue using even unmodernized ACVs well into 2030s.

My own thoughts: If tests started in 2020 and ended 5 months ago, and as BMC's engine is not yet even ready for these vehicles and cannot have been tested on Arma Pars and Altuğ, maybe first general batch will be made with foreign engines, while a bigger batch is postponed into future.

Looks like Air Force and Navy have priority, no money left for Land Forces.
New motto of the Land Forces could be:
"Entrusted first to Allah, then again to Allah"

I have a better idea, cause these guys clearly arent able to do it. Slash their budget down to barely necessary cause they aren't using it in a smart way anyways. And hand it over to the Navy and Air Force, clearly those two branches know how to procure and develop their needs.

Land Forces wastes millions on modernizing 40 year old ACV-15
Delays YNZMA procurement over and over again just in the end to slash the number down to 50, what a joke.
Pushes new requirements on firms in the middle of tenders.
Expect the impossible to be made possible for them.
Loves it 25mm peashooters so much they waste millions to have Aselsan develop a new turret for it.
Barely uses APS.
Has a phobia against using modern turrets and vehicles.

Just slash their budget down to salaries and maintance and let them ride around in M113 and ACV-15s, maybe in a decade they will learn their lessons when the Air Force flies 5th gen Aircrafts and the Navy has half a dozen destroyers.

I think the vehicle represents the level of mastery that FNSS has reached in armored combat vehicles with its ongoing R&D and after-sales feedback.

Active protection system, high situational awareness, acoustic detection system, high cbrn protection and mine resistance, the highest level of mobility for an 8x8 vehicle, 800km range, auxiliary power unit, high payload capacity in the personnel compartment... FNSS had set the bar quite high with the PARS IV - 6x6 SPV, and ALPHA seems to have succeeded in becoming an 8x8 that put more on this. If FNSS adds the optional capability of crossing stagnant water and rivers, which FNSS is very experienced in, I think this vehicle could be a complete package from A to Z. Maybe a wired mini UAV option can also be added, which is not a big deal. Because this time, a full and complete product range has also emerged in the tower section:

YN-ZMA 30/40mm w/OMTAS+AKKOR turret
YN-ZMA 105/120mm turret
KORKUT low altitude air defense turret
Configuration capable of carrying medium-altitude air defense missiles
120mm double barrel Mortar turret
Combat engineering and command and control, fire control configurations.
All looks great.

We should think about giving the old APCs to Ukraine.
