Turkish Aerospace is opening a new branch in Bandung, Indonesia, to increase its regional presence.

Here is the Turkish take of the same news regarding Indonesian office of Tusas.
Tusas had opened a similar office in Malaysia when it was offering Hurjet to the Malaysian government. Some media centres are probably drawing similarities with the opening of this new office.
It has to be remembered that, Indonesia is already a participating partner - even if it is on paper only- in the KF21 Boramae project. Turkey has far too good a relation with SKorea to jeopardise it. I can’t see Indonesia leaving the KF21 programme.
Indonesia has visited Tusas recently and currently there are equipment that they are buying and probably new ones they would like to buy. To facilitate good efficient service, it is only natural to have a local office as part of the large business potential there is.
KAAN project is in it’s final stages. It is more feasible for Turkey to sell the plane, rather than including new partners.
