Muharrem İnce: "The most legitimate and important issue in the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey is the recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. During the AKP government, Turkey could not prevent the Greek Cypriot State from becoming a member of the European Union, could not ensure that the Turkish Republics recognize the TRNC, and could not stop Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan from accepting the decision in the agreement signed with the European Union that the Republic of Turkey is an occupier in Cyprus. The AKP government that has been in power for 23 years is a complete fiasco in foreign policy as well as in agriculture, education and the economy."
