I dont want hear this talk of a certain weapon system being trash blah blah.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Warfare is all about getting the edge on your enemies.

F35, F15, Su35, Su25, J10, Rafale and the Typhoon are not trash.

Its utter madness to call the F35 garbage.
The F-35 is definitely not garbage because of its capabilities, but it could be if it's sold as a dumbed-down version with operational limitations and conditions of deployment. It's not the plane itself that could be the problem, it's the strings attached to that potential purchase.

Indeed my statement is mainly about people who fanboy over something at the same time you have people because they cant get a system they start calling it trash doesnt mean its trash.

Yes, we tend to emulate The Fox and the Sour Grapes.

Spain's second batch EF T4 deliveries under Halcon II for 25 aircraft will start in 2028, instead of the originally planned 2030. This follows the original Halcon I for 20 aircraft that will start next year.

Meanwhile, our possible order is still in the air.

It's likely because we'd rather tie the knot with US than allow EU to have another hold over us. Especially in defense sector after the fad with MTU engine

The Brits are waiting for Türkiye's answer to their offer, right?
Is Türkiye waiting for Trump giving green light for F-35?
Can we call this a "Waitingception"? *waiting intensifies*

Don't know if I should laugh or cry at this situation. A country nevent 1/10 of your size has a better procurement strategy than us.

We should be the ones running after C-390, A400M, CH-47 and MH-60R (or at least more S-70) yet regulary we hear from our officials how there is no interest and need for those crafts.

Not even gonna mention the mismanagement of the T-70 project.

Complete shithow.

Can't even complete the transaction for second-hand C-130 from the Brits.

But don't worry when the T-925 enters inventory in 2032 and our own logistic-lift plane project is announced and finished in 2040 everything will be fine until then we will iha siha 31 everything, right? In the meantime we can afford some more A8, S-Class and 7 series for our yandas.
Aren't you getting A400M? I believe that production share was linked to numbers ordered by the partners. Is that why Spain ordered more than it needed? Looks like a Hurjet/A400M deal benefits both parties, so I guess Turkiye will be getting some A400M.

Just spending time for nothing while israel bombing syria non stop and there are news that aslo some turkish staff were bombed dur8ng those raids and Turkiye cant do nothing agaist tiny fake terror country israel , better to look at someone else and make our airforce the largest and modern in world . And stop licking US and EU assholes . The solution is to talk to China to buy more than 250 J35 steath fighter and build them in home with Turkish systems , and Aesa radars . Aslo modernise all 240 f16 in home . With around 500 fighter jets with AESA we can easy go in syria and protect ourselfs and allies . There arw no more humiliation than to get bombed by israel and do nothing . Since 10 years licking ZIONISM ass to buy some overrrated non steath aircrafts that will be controlled throw spare parts or Software from main producer in Eu or US . 😡😡
Turkiye is developing KAAN with a Turkish engine. I think that is the 'solution'.

It's not yet clear if the future Hürjet deal includes Spanish slated A400s being delivered to Turkey instead. Some of the quoted project costs for Spanish project I saw do make me think a barter is in the works, but we don't know.

Our nationally developed earth observation satellite #İMECE, created to enhance our country's military capabilities in space and support space-based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, has been inducted into the Air Force inventory under the name GÖKTÜRK-2B. This ceremony took place in Ahlatlıbel/Ankara, hosted by our Air Force Space Command with the participation of stakeholders from the Presidency of Defense Industries, TÜBİTAK, the Strategic Budget Office, and our Air Force Command. We thank everyone involved. Congratulations to our Air Force on the GÖKTÜRK-2B satellite.

We continue our efforts to maintain an active, deterrent, continuous, and independent presence in space, especially in the military domain!

Our eye in space, IMECE, is at the service of the Air Force!

The first sub-meter resolution Earth observation satellite IMECE, developed with domestic and national capabilities, has been added to the inventory of the Air Force Command.

The high-resolution images obtained from the satellite will contribute to our national security; enhancing the operational capability of our Air Force Command by increasing effectiveness in reconnaissance, planning, situation assessment, and risk analysis.

Within the Air Force Command Satellite Naming Standards, the IMECE satellite will now be named ‘GÖKTÜRK-2B.’

We congratulate all our colleagues who contributed to this project, whose production, assembly, integration, and testing processes were carried out entirely by Turkish engineers within our country's borders!

Our IMECE-2 and IMECE-3 projects, developed with the team satellite concept, are also progressing according to our plans; we continue to leave a mark in space with our domestic technology.

📍 Seoul / Republic of Korea

The "8th Headquarters Talks between the Turkish Air Force and the Republic of Korea Air Force" were held under the auspices of the Republic of Korea Air Force Command.

A delegation headed by Lieutenant General Rafet Dalkıran, Chief of Staff of the Turkish Air Force, participated in the talks on behalf of our country.

I remember reading somewhere that the KC-46 has not met the expectations and was showing cracks not to mention delays with components and deliveries.
Italy has retracted its order of these tankers and even Boeing seems to be embarrassed about how it turned out (a la B737 Max).

I really hope we opt for the Airbus MRTT which would make more sense now that we're actively involved in Italian and Spanish aviation market.

The KC-46 still has five category 1 deficiencies, saying the aircraft is “not” performing “optimally.” The aircraft is cleared to refuel with all Air Force aircraft, except the A-10 and the yet-to-be-fielded E-7 Wedgetail.
