There is nothing to talk about the relationship from Turkey's corner. The one who needs to rethink it is the US.
The US isn't protecting Turkey like it is Saudi Arabia that Turkey would need to rethink its actions. Our existence is not ensured by them. The opposite actually, if the US ever wants to see the black sea, sail the east med in peace or have any influence left in the ME, Balkans, Caucasus and Northern Africa it would do well to rethink its actions and priorities.
Sanctions can be overcome just like in the 70s. Will they have effects on the industry? Of course they will, we will see projects get delayed, maybe some scrapped and some other completly redrawn. But what is new? Turkey has been dealing with this since 2016. It suprises me how people are acting as if this something out of the left corner and Turkey has been overwhelmed by it?! The industry has been dealing with this for years now, people, nothing has changed.
Either the US will revamp its model on how to talk with Turkey or it will lose it as an ally and partner at the latest after 2035. Once Turkey has an self sustaining military industry it can cut off any important lines to the US and keep a passive but still hostile relation to it.
So either A the US treats Turkey with respect on the same level it does Japan and Britian or B it continues to shoot itself in its foot as it has been doing for the last decade almost. My bet is on B.
My bet is also that none of them will take responsibility for losing Turkey and will rather start a black propaganda campaign putting Turkey on the same level as North Korea.
