I doubt they'll want it for themselves. They'll need to convert the export version to its original state. On the other hand, they have a commitment to India, and since they'll be exporting it anyway, they won't need to make any significant changes to the system. If they retrieve the S-400 systems from Türkiye, I think they'll perform a minor overhaul and then sell them to India.

Well, for cost effectiveness we could try using Roketsan's new Eren loitering munition from ships, if it proves to be precise enough. It should only cost a fraction of either missiles, with enough range and could also loitering for 15 minutes or something. And, we could use them against surface threats as well.This is great news for our sea platforms.
As you rightfully point out it will also be used as a PDMS with 20 missiles and with an effective range of 15km to replace the RAM missile systems US were so reluctant to supply to us.
Since it is using a missile derived from Bozdogan WVR a2a missile, it is very accurate and should really be effective against supersonic cruise missiles too. If so, tough news to swallow for the across the water neighbours that were contemplating in investing in Indian Brahmos AShMs.
Aselsan has also stated that the missile system can accommodate the longer range Gokdogan BVR a2a missile, making it a longer range and higher altitude PDSM system similar to ESSM of US. I guess the fire control radar will have to be configured to cover the extended range of the Gokdogan.
As it will be using Bozdogan missiles the Goksur fully loaded with 20 missiles will have munitions worth around 8-10 million dollars. So it is not a cheap system.
Should the canisters be filled with Gokdogan the system cost will be in excess of 20 million dollars. Costly! But it will be ours to use and sell as we please.

Eren, as far as I know, is propelled by a jet engine and has a speed of around 550-650km/hour. It could definitely be used against relatively slower cruise missiles and some air platforms like helicopters and UAVs, if as you say, is precise enough. Logically Turbo Jet engine propulsion should be more expensive than solid fuelled rocket propulsion. What makes Bozdogan so expensive is its high quality guidance and seeker system that would enable it to hit very fast and agile targets.
