From those $124 bil, only $79 bil that's allocated for procurement. The other $32 bil for maintenance and contingency, and another $13 bil for interest.

We can easily sign many contracts worth total of $79 bil until 2024.

Curious how Mindef and all Matra TNI plan to professionally manned the "new equipments"...?

The below last year article mentioned that MoD plans to train 300 combat pilot and 100 hercules pilot over the next 2 years. I am not sure whether this target is even achievable or more of a wishful thinking.

I am happy that MoD seems focus to rectify previous mistake and putting proper budget/investment toward building capable armed forces....yet I wish its more of a logical and professional plan as opposed to "what it seems" as ego-driven plan. Hopefully I am wrong......

why in bloody indonesian earh land, there's no body give a bloody concern about end user oppinion and what they actually want.

Instead all politican and man in power only think about
"Hey, this guy give me more money. Lets buy their stuff" or "This one looks good, i want some" spamming with multiple stuff from foreign vendors.

Wich, in case cause catastropic problem because hard effort to maintenance.

I wonder wether the MOD has already talk the airforce need of plane or Navy need of boats .

What I can gathered, even in US this is still largely an idea/concept, i.e. recruiting commercial pilots to become combat pilots. Fighter jets especially which I guess would require different physical and mental ability requirements. Imagine fighter jets pilot need to be able to do high G maneuvers whilst civilian/commercial pilots may not need ability to do this.

Without her "gimmick" this hundred billion dollar will be pass under radar and no one will be curious about what exactly the Mod going to do with your money,my money and everyone money.
Think by your self, how could you put 30 billion dollars for maintenance thing without even tell our representatives what is exactly you are going to buy.
