It won't be a honor when Houthis will and eventually missile strike our bases in Saudi arabia. They had no choice but to turn to us. This is an honor for us, but a humiliation for them.

I don't know man. They seem to want us only when they want something. Thats my most issue with this Mecca Pact.
Would they have invited us in this alliance had Iranians not bombing them and humiliating them ?
The MENA region is a mess, and we could be harmed than gain anything from it.

I was just about to mention this.It won't be a honor when Houthis will and eventually missile strike our bases in Saudi arabia.
But that's their own fault isn't it?Turkiye's geography is cursed.
You have the Balkans, Caucasus, and the Middle East.
All former Turkic territory. Funny isn't it when Turks are not in power it becomes hell on earth. Same with Ottomans giving special treatments to minorities.. that worked out so well for the Ottomans too lol.Across you have the Black sea which is Ukraine vs Russia and in the Med Sea across you have North Africa.
We're not in a position to do anything. If we go further we find ourselves in Central Asia which is next to China then you have Afghanistan along with Pakistan vs India.
Got no choice but to be inactive for all these years. We produced nothing and relied heavily on west for arms. with strings attached of course. What could we done to change the fate for our neighbours? A lot of them openly hate us too.Turkiye can no longer afford a peace at home and peace in the world doctrine. Doesnt mean Turkiye gets itself into wars or do policies based on emotions but it also cannot afford to stay inactive and be friendly with everybody. That works for Portugal or Norway but not for Turkiye.
In the Middle East right now the biggest threat to Turkiye is Israel, UAE and Iran.
We said the same for Egypt too when they were flirting with Greece. Now they're friends. Saudi was also hostile too over their Kashoggi incident. If this Makkah pact has to work everybody has to offer something to do the table. The Saudis can no longer rely on dangling money they need to get their act together and offer what they can do.
Egyptians missile striked our base in libya and killed our troops, we did not attack back, now somehow they are allies too, I dont want to get humilitaed by bunch of sandal wearing dudes supplied by Iran because the goverment is too afraid to strike back, this has happened before and will happen again, why are we sacrificing troops just to please US and Saudis?I was just about to mention this.
The whole point of this Mecca Pact is so Americans won't lose their soldiers over the brownoid Arabs. Like tell me, won't we be also humiliated when our bases get attacked too? wouldn't we have to also bomb back.. or we'd be humiliated. Not sure it's worth it. our bases worldwide would be seen as easy target too then. We really want to risk that?
I can say you're right, but we can't achieve anything without taking action.Egyptians missile striked our base in libya and killed our troops, we did not attack back, now somehow they are allies too, I dont want to get humilitaed by bunch of sandal wearing dudes supplied by Iran because the goverment is too afraid to strike back, this has happened before and will happen again, why are we sacrificing troops just to please US and Saudis?
We should achieve it by being aware of the situation and playing it safe, I want saudis to at least be able to protect or bolster their air defense capabilities against the missile strikes, that is when we can protect our troops. Im also against deploying F16s, Saudis lost F15s in their own air bases because of their lack of discipline etc.I can say you're right, but we can't achieve anything without taking action.
Alright the whole “peace troops” framing is outdated. What’s being built now is basically a Turkish‑led Syrian security zone, not some UN‑style buffer. Ankara has more than 20,000 troops and security personnel in northern Syria under formal defence cooperation, plus influence over the new Syrian army structure and doctrine. That’s not symbolic—that’s hard power on the ground.I knew it
I said in many posts before that Israel's patience with Turkey is running dry. Israel doesnt like the idea of Turkey surrounding Israel on nearly all fronts. Turkey is in Syria, and will deploy troops in Saudi Arabia's Tabuk region just 200 km away from Israel. Moreover, Erdogan promised Lebanon that if Lebanon sides with Turkey, then Turkey is ready to deploy troops to protect Southern Lebanon and even arm Lebanese army with the necessary munitions to take their lands back
Israel is now in a situation that wherever it looks; whether North, South, East or West, Turkey is always there.
I guess this is Turkey's response to Israel's defence agreement with Greece and to ensure that Turkey is hegemon in the middle east within the new 9rder ebing crafted after the toppling of Iran
Finally, Erdogan's bromance with Trump is working miracles nowadays. I will have to admit that it is because of this current bromance that Erdogan is intently and aggressively increasing his geopolitical clout in the region
Translation:
Israel wanted to strike Syria once again, but the US rejected it.
Israel requested a green light from the US to strike Syrian targets again due to Turkey's expanding influence in Syria, but the US rejected this request.

I think that the turkish government doesnt think about northern Syria only anymoreAlright the whole “peace troops” framing is outdated. For Israel, the message is simple: any strike on that belt is no longer “just Syria”, it’s hitting a Turkish‑integrated security zone with Turkish assets, Turkish drones, Turkish radar, and Turkish logistics behind it. That alone makes casual raids much more politically and militarily expensive.
Is it enough to stop a full‑scale Israeli or US attack by itself? No. Ground troops alone don’t stop air campaigns. What locks this in long‑term is:
A fully layered air and missile defence over northern Syria (Hisar/O, Siper, integrated radar, EW, hardened bases).
Persistent ISR and drones (Bayraktar, Akinci, Anka) tied into Syrian command so any movement is tracked in real time.
Joint command and legal frameworks that make it crystal clear any strike on “Syrian” assets in that belt is a strike on Turkish‑protected infrastructure.
Gradual removal of Iranian militias and parallel networks in Syria and Lebanon, so there’s one coherent security architecture instead of a messy proxy playground.
Lebanon and Iraq are the long game. Lebanon only works if Iranian influence is rolled back and the Lebanese army is actually equipped and backed in a serious way. Iraq is a full tangle of Kurds/US/Iran/Israel, so there I’d say: secure the Turkish–Syrian belt first, lock in air defence and command integration, then expand east once the political ground is ready.
Really? I thought that it was UAE Mirage fighter jets accompanied by French Rafale jets that killed Turkish troops; ofcourse with Russian blessingsWasnt it Emiratis alongside Egyptians?
Yep, It was perperated by UAE but the jet that was used during that combat sortie was a Egyptian Mirage.Wasnt it Emiratis alongside Egyptians?

As far as my info goes, Egypt doesnt have the green light to use the Rafale jets outside the Egyptian border. Moreover, the fighter jets deployed throughout Libya at that time were Emiratis and Russian
Firstly unconfirmed ad secondly why would we agree to ToT of our most capable ew system
We will potentially give the Saudis our Koral system. (Local production and tech transfer).
