You seems to think some similar genetic make up would make immigration fruitful. I think importing Turkmen from Afghanistan in masses would likely cause same socio-cultural friction as we are witnessing today. Türkiye is an advanced society for a muslims country. Turkmen in Afghanistan grew up in a very different environment for generations.

It's worth noting that Turkic countries still have a significantly growing population (Uzbekistan is projected to reach 50 million by 2050) and are grappling with environmental challenges. These include water scarcity for their expanding populations and other factors that are negatively impacting the Central Asian Turkic population. Turkey can help ease the situation for those tukic counties by taking in exess popular thus easing their water crisis.

Last but no the least, in principle mass immigration is never the answer to birth rate problem. Solution is to make life easier so people can afford to have more children.

Many countries have tried, but it doesn't help. The problem is that women are happier without kids or husbands (studies have been done on this topic) and thus do not want to have kids. Unless the government passes laws that make life harder for people who don't have kids to encourage individuals to have kids before they die, people will not have children.

There are 3 ways to deal with the demographic crisis:

1. A government program to increase the population through the use of artificial womb to create children; this hasn't been done by any government yet since it is the most expensive option.

2. Immigration, which is being done in the West, will lead to competition between countries to attract talent, and poorer countries will be disadvantaged in this.

3. Make having children an investment again by denying government assistance to those past a certain age who haven't had kids.

It may sound logical in theory but in practice it doesn't work. Cultural similarities (like for example, similar cuisine) does not mitigate the problems with people that has pre-modern mindeset.

I would feel much better with a non-Bengali person who hold 21th century values than a Bengali person who may have many cultural similarities with me but doesn't respect individual freedom and thinks women should not work or have independence and stuff. Those midnsets aren't cured that easily unless one change it himself. And that requires true education. (And even then lot of people can't get rid of it. There are highly educated Muslim doctors and engineers in the West who hold deranged views)

Apart from excessive numbers of them overwhelming the system, the main cause of friction between Turks and Refugees is not one's Syrianness and Turkishness in principle. It's the difference between modern 21th values (that Turkish society has adopted and lives by) and pre-modern mindset which many refugees holds. (Intolerance, lack of respects for individual freedom, excessively bigoted and sexist views)

Having some cultural and genetic similarities won't solve the problem if those immigrant have such incompatible value system deeply entrenched in their minds.

An educated open minded willing to integrate non-turk person would have better chance of integrating than random person from Afghanistan with Turkmen gene.

Well, that's the crisis of modernity. But the odds of large scale immigration as a solution outweigh the benefits in IMO.

Turks of Turkiye and the Turkmens of Afghanistan are both Turkic but vastly different.

Turkic World spans from Siberia to Anatolia. The Turkic peoples have different apperances, different languages, dialects, religions and culture.

Afghan Turkmen going to Turkiye would be a culture shock for them while a Turkish person going to Afghanistan would also be a huge culture shock.
