the building collapse aftermath shocks, technically it worked well. Ther is no dead person from that building. Maybe the foundation of the building sunked in the ground?

So many deaths could have been prevented. I don't want to get political but my anger forces me to. Why should 1 man have a 1,100 room palace when millions of residents live in concrete death traps in one of the most seismically active places on earth. We can build the world's biggest airport, the world's longest suspension bridge, but we were playing a waiting game with the lives of thousands, if not millions of people. It was bound to happen, but we simply didn't act. Pathetic.

my late dad was graduate from itu as civil engineer and he used to say after 7 Richter all buildings would collapse i don't think much could have been done expect to make a wide empty spaces among apartment for people to take shelter there
