joy of brilliant Turkish engineers
They should find better ways of showing their joy, it is a little under their pay grade to cheer the way they do, a scene we typically see among soccer fans.

My understanding with respect to Sungur was such that, due to the successes obtained in the tests, the very short range AD work to be given to the Hisar A, has been transferred to Sungur based systems. If I am not wrong, there is still more work being carried out on the development of Sungur to increase it’s range and operational altitude to cover well over the short range and some midrange distance as well.
Sungur, with inclusion of all the new additional capabilities, will be a better replacement than a Rolling Airframe Missile. Especially when Levent System of Roketsan becomes operational with new Sungur and/or Bozdogan based air defence missile.

You have got to set them loose bro, free minds and real individuals (not the depressed stereotypes) will overcome any barrier before this country! Let them enjoy their success, anyway they like it!

Sungur-ER 15km range @8km altitude with RF guidance option. It will be an enlarged Sungur.
Sounds Unbelievable. Such a missile needed to be launched vertically as it would be too long and bulky for naval platforms.

No, it won't be. Roketsan is trying to roughly double the range(more like increasing it by %90) That missile will probably carry double the warhead of Sungur and will weigh around 50kg.(I estimate Sungur weighs around 20kg)

In the Atmaca trials, Roketsan engineers rejoiced enthusiastically even next to the MoND and Commander of Naval Forces. This is like a reward for our excited engineers.

The Siper project is a more complex missile system developed to hit more technologically challenging and faster air targets so intensity of the enthusiasm increases with technological difficulty. 😁

One wants to fast forward time and get to past ramjets and space launchers when we have caught up with the tech leaders. I wish we enthusiast will all see those times in short order.

Most probably conservative religious people are disturbed from joy of brilliant Turkish engineers who hugging each other however they have to keep inside their jealous...

We appreciate our engineers.

Regarding SUNGUR, I'd like to add my 50 cent: since Ukranians shot down several cruise missiles from STINGERs, SUNGUR will be great for SHORAD with adequate AESA plates.
Well I am religious and conservative and I am very happy. I could add more but 8 don't want to make a digression.

Siper project is progressing smoothly without any problems and hitting all planned targets. The first delivery of Siper in 2023 is on track.

Will the Siper be an equivalent to the S400s as they say?

It must be such a pleasure for old lads such as Akar seeing the fruits of these young engineers and witnessing what the Turkish nation has created in terms of advanced technology. In Akar's time they were completely dependent on foreign countries for weapons.

He even took is hat off for the engineers!

Why did Turkey buy S400 if it was developing SIPER air defense system. They both do the same thing, excluded from F35 program for nothing?

Risk management.

SIPER is an ambitious long-range national air-defense system project. A lot of things can go wrong with that.
