and İt will be the first AESA seeker missile we will have :devilish:

possible advantages;

instantaneous beam steering provided will help to maintain a continuous lock on the target...therefore improved hit to kill performance in air defence against highly maneuvering targets … Not hard to see that new AESA seeker may/will find its place both in our SAM&A2A missile variants....ok even in some future variants of ATMACA and ÇAKIR as well who knows :devilish:

Hello again after a little break

I have learned about what SAPAN is and the actual name of the quadpack missile

First off, SAPAN is a programme to develop naval air defence missiles (Covers anything for MİDLAS you can think of)
Our awaited missile isn't named HİSAR-D Block 2 or something similar, it is named G/M-1 and the difference isn't only in the quadpack capability. It will also have an AESA seeker and new guidance algorithms to more reliably counter supersonic and low-observable anti-ship missiles.

Ah, DzKK's long awaited dream to call first actual naval air defense missile a 'güdümlü mermi" ( in chicken translation, 'guided bullet' )

Imagine them waiting for ages, impatiently.

So it is;
Sapan project, G/M-1
Sapan project, G/M-2

Logical in my opinion. Another project will further elaborate on surface strike and follow similar naming, then then the CIWS.

About the name, I asked the man multiple times to affirm so...

It appears ROKETSAN is joining ASELSAN in making more systematic namings

As to what G/M-2 would be, I guess our thesis of it being an extended-range G/M-1 are likely to be correct. Who the hell wouldn't want a long-range SAM with AESA seeker?

A lotta new stuff I guess, such as ROKETSAN officially showing the range of HİSAR O RF as 40+ km (Yeah finally for god's sake)

And Hisar O IIR? Any 'official' improvement?

Where does Siper fit? A standalone series of ADS, or Sapan G/M - 3 and so on?

İn reality, All vehicles are bigger and taller than in photos. All Land vehicles are huge except Otokar Akrep 2.

Whoever translated that Korkut 25mm description should be fired, my eyes bled reading that. It is also interesting that the turret on the brochure (or whatever) is more compact than the actual thing. I wonder if they'll change it further to be more compact.

Where is Cabatli ? Maybe defencehub could offer to QC English descriptions for the defence sector before they send the content to print!

I think 25mm Airburst ammo of Aselsan we saw earlier would be more affective than a gatling gun.
For sure 25mm ATOM would be better even than Phalanx Gatling gun however it is not a Phalanx. İt's a 3 barrel Gatling which has very short rate of fire.

I would also agree with 30x113 ATOM on this vehicle.
