A booster increases the minimum effective range, so it may not be a good solution for some applications.
I wonder members also calculates the mishaps of the usage of booster in ground applications which is not case in naval usage. This limits deployment and needs careful calculations.
PS. Civilian injury and death risk in the nearby due to falling discharged booster over them.
Why concentrate on disadvantages instead of advantages?

- civilian problem -> send them to shelter via warnings and alerts, use a light booster like Delta-V uses. There is always a risk with every missile:

- Minimum range probem -> for short range remove the booster

Have you seen any ballistic shelter in civilian areas. I haven’t seen any in Turkey. But there’re many in Israel.

Probably we don't have any, like the earthquake safety areas... but normal buildings can be used as shelters, Israel also does this for rocket attacks.

If you need a booster to intercept distant targets, it may be worth the risk, shorter range intercepts also have the problem of missile debris: a booster falling to somebody's house vs SCUD missile intercepted over his home.

Remember this event?

Iraqi Missile Slams Into GIs’ Barracks; 27 Killed : Scud attack: 98 are hurt in the deadliest such strike of the war. Quarters were for Pennsylvania reserve unit.

Autonomous HisarA+ has good specs. But the most important and intriguing specification they have stated is the last one:
Ballistic protection.
That probably means it has ballistic missile hitting capabilities.
Never.

The missile is too small in my opinion to intercept ballistic missiles.

> Yusuf Akbaba claims that Hisar O is planned to be delivered to the Army in 2021

> He claims that the Air Defence Network consists of Hisar A+, Hisar O+, Hisar RF, Hisar U, SIPER, S400

@TheInsider did you hear anything about Hisar O date and Hisar U ?

Wasn't Hisar U and Siper is the same system? I thought Siper is the name for the Hisar-U system. If they change it to two separate systems I wonder what is changed during the development process.

Considering we can't integrate S-400 in our air defence network, maybe they decide to develop Siper into S-400 equivalent.

İsmail Demir:
We expect Siper to enter service in 2023

Also we expect a gap filler system with 100km effective range and 20km altitude.

Hisar O+ has 25km range and 10+km altitude.

When the gap filler has a range of 100 km effective what does this mean for the top of the line Siper range. I guess it will be around 150km effective.

The GAP filler might be HISAR U. As you have discussed here , why not Hisar O with booster fulfils the gap?

What we call ''basement'' in modern buildings are officialy called as shelters. There is no forced inspection so people just use it as a basement and don't leave space for any emergancy gathering.

Attention here !

Mr. Ismail Demir:

"We have an expectation of 1 intermediate product between Hisar-O + and Siper. It will have an effective range of up to 100km and an effective altitude of over 20km. Then Siper will come. We will activate Siper before the end of 2023."

Now, Imagine the range of Siper :D
