LOL! That shaky junk could only go for a stationary target.
Pilot and operator will suffer severe concussion just from flying this piece of shit.
Normally target also should be automatically chosen and locked ,but here pilot try to lock under heavy shaking.

How is USA - Nigeria relations?
I mean, could there be an engine veto by the US on this export like they did with Pakistan?
No engine veto. Do not worry. Without Turkey's neighbors and PKK terrorists, we can surprisingly cooperate with the USA. LOL Against al-Shahab terrorists in Somalia or Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria or as in the Philippines.

But of course, none of these will fix the structural damage in Turkiye-USA relations. If the MMU/TFX project is successful, there will be no meaningful military and arms trade relations. Since the basis of Turkiye-USA relations is based on military relations and arms trade, the structural damage here cannot be reversed. Just like in the arms trade relations between Turkey and Germany.

Limiting the damage in Turkiye-USA relations and preventing the structural damage here from spreading to the rest of the relations is only possible if the USA abandons its absurd policies against Turkiye. But there is no such indication.

Structural is nice choice of word as the US swinging strong punches against that structure and I don’t see how more can it take until it eventually collapses.

20 and 25mm national guns

25mm gatling gun (4/5 barrel and feeding mechanism) will most likely used for TFX MMU as well.

2 TS-1400 will be handed to TAI February/March and depending on how fast the integration is done, Hopefully Gökbey will fly in 2023 Q1 with domestic engines.

Seems out incompetent politician or defense industry tried to get the germans to do something like the hull for Gokbey. Thank god they dragged their feet and we had to make it ourselves.

the filth who tried jeapordize our own domestic industry through foreign acquisition is and will always be a threat.

Not hull or something else, turboshaft gearbox for helicopter, that is one of the most critical and hard component required for a helicopter. Probably they requested from a well known company to speed up the production process. It has to be strong and certified.

The actual anecdote Temel Kotil has shared is very interesting:

“Gokbey helicopter‘s transmission needed to be produced. We had to go back and forth many times to Germany to get this produced. In the end when we realised that they were not making the transmission, we manufactured it indigenously, the Germans then sent us the transmission they produced.”
This is analogous to many other instances whereby certain defence parts or machinery is not supplied to Türkiye to slow down progress and/or hamper our defence industry’s development.
A similar case was for JDAMs. We needed a large quantity of these in our inventory following initial trial quantities. At 90thousand dollars a piece they are not cheap either. US wouldn’t deliver them. So we made HGK at a price of 27thousand dollars. After our test they offered to supply any quantity we want at 25thousand dollars per kit. But that train had gone passed. Same happened with Oto Melara 72/62mm gun. They kept delaying delivery. Now that we are manufacturing our own, they are offering it at a drastically reduced price. But too late!
Yesterday General Karakus was talking about Angela Merkel, whereby she was telling Europeans that all these delaying and non supplying tactics were actually backfiring. What ever the West was embargoing, we were manufacturing it ourselves. And she was telling them that it was Europe’s and West’s fault that Turkey has built such a good defence Industry.
