As far as I know we don't have a domestic Power Pack to produce Firtina2, or am I wrong ? And please no imaginary Power Pack, "we will have" is making me queasy as it is.
As far as I know, one of the current BMC Power engines, UTKU, is made for Firtina howitzers

The engines have entered serial production this year AFAIK

have they entered serial production as far as i know its still being tested although it will be ready in 2027 at the latest
Isnt that for BATU? BATU is supposed to enter serial production within 2026-2027
Or maybe you are refering to the UTKU + domestic powerpack?

A new report prepared by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission caused diplomatic tensions in Brussels and increased political tension in Southern Cyprus. The document, published on September 12, 2025, included the term 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus' for the first time, and the Turkey-Libya maritime jurisdiction boundary was officially shown on the map. While the Greek Cypriot press described this development as a 'diplomatic earthquake,' the authorities in Athens and Nicosia demanded an explanation from Brussels.

2+2 Bergamini Class frigates, each 6900 ton very capable ships for open sea operations in the Mediterranean. Add these to the 4 x Kimon Class Belharra frigates and 4 x MEKO 200 that will undergo MLU. That is a very potent Greek Fleet. We all know it is not for NATO defensive posture. It is to show modern sea power against our naval presence especially in the Eastern Med.

We have 1 x I-Class, 1 x Barbaros Class and 4 x Gabya frigates that really needs replacing to counter them. In the midst of it all we are contemplating selling the almost ready I-Class ships. If correct, how much more delusional and traitorous a notion can anyone have?

We need to hurry and get those 8 x I-Class ships in to our Navy’s inventory and hurry up with the Barbaros MLU instead of fluffing around with MUGEM and somehow unnecessary Tepe Class ships. We must remember that, A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Even though I'm no expert AT ALL regarding Military equipment, common sense tells me that no surface ship can survive in the Aegean or Eastern Med against Türkiye if Türkiye goes full force.

What I want to say is that we don't need to make panic. We all saw what the max conventional power of the US could do to Iran... It was quite unspectacular if you ask me.

But yes, I see Mugem quite low in the priority list.

It is not a matter of whether we can defeat Greek Navy or not. When it comes to showing force and posturing there is nothing much we have that can match those modern naval platforms. I-Class is a great little frigate. But is not in the same caliber as a Bergamini Class ship. Just as an example, both Belharra and Bergamini have Captas-4 towed sonar which is classed as the best in Western navies. It can supposedly track submarines 100+km away.
We are building a modern navy. When completed it will be best in the Eastern Med. But until all platforms are in place we have to be vigilant and improve our strike force.

In the short term the priority of the Turkish Navy should be on the serial production of unmanned naval systems like Tufan, Tengiz, Kilic, Taylan...Cem Gürdeniz, the retired admiral stated this clearly in a recent interview, He said it is not now the time for Mugem and alluded to the fact that the Mugem project is rather serving political interests. Turkish Navy should be more assertive about their needs, they need to adapt to the new realities of the warfare. East Med is getting warmer and warmer! We should be prepared to fight against Greece, France and Israel Navies there.

Türkiye can do all of the things mentioned at the same time, from the smallest to the largest. Stopping something to do the other thing is unacceptable.

Who is giving a Guarantee that France will never fight Turkey ? Underestimating the Enemy is the biggest Mistake, what Turkey can do !

We must continue MUGEM anyway, but we need to slow it down and give more Priority to A2/AD Weapons like Barbaros coastal Defence or to unmanned Subs like Sinarit for Suprise Attacks.

Tbf if they do anything, it'll be in that cowardly proxy way of using others against you, just to keep the illusion that nato means shit

We're discussing a war scenario in the Med Sea with France... I can be that guarantor this isn't happening. Now you can sleep better at night.

France is an enemy, and nations in MENA region supporting terrorists in our lands are brothers? Explain that logic to me.

How does that work, they are both in NATO?

They signed a Defence Pact with Greece in 2021, they have Bases on Cyprus. Remember that Words what Macron said in Cyprus:

Even it is not happening, it's better to be prepared ! To counter the Threat from a french CSG, our current Capabillities are not enogh ! To deter an enemy CSG from entering the eastern Mediteranean, we need to built up:

- The Air Force anti - Ship Missile Capabillity
- an ASBM & ramjet powered AShM Arsenal against Aircraft Carrier & Helicopter Carrier and replishment Ships.
- deploy Barbaros Land Batteries(they are not in Srvice)
- establish an (stealth)Drone ISR and Space based ISR Network(our first SAR Satelitte will enter Service arround 2028 - 2030).
