Well, let's not forget the refugees from Iraq, and Refugees from Syria, not including those who had money enough to move in first place. so all in all we have around 6-7 mio. refugees and off spring.

I would demand that AKP relocated refugees into syria safe zones, fast at hard. Otherwise we'll have much bigger problems in the future and that's what US and EU and Russia is aiming for.

I demand a doctrine of warlike relocation strategy.

When you have a geography with different languages and even different language families, I feel its best to accommodate and find a solid basis of nationhood beyond just language. With such accommodation and genuine political integration and representation built over time, you then gain validity to crack down on any separatism as the larger population of the minority language people will feel secure...and clamp down on such things themselves.

And then we have USA, a nation created from all the mishmash and flotsam one can imagine.

You can't enter a university if you are not a student of that university.

Yes, actually you can. Here in The Netherlands i can take a friend with me inside the building and he can even visit the class. There is no securityguard who will check if you are a student. But you cant do this all the time.

But thats not the point here. From the arrested 200 'protesting students' in the streets there were only 15 students of the Robert College.

1-) Robert College is a highschool, Boğaziçi is an University.
Melih Bulu graduated from Kayseri Fen Lisesi than METU.

Robert College: https://website.robcol.k12.tr/tr
Boğaziçi University: http://www.boun.edu.tr/

2-) Boğaziçi is state university.
Binaları, kütüphanesi, laboratuvarları, tüm imkanları ve personeliyle 118 dönümlük bugünün Güney Kampüsü 10 Eylül 1971'de tamamen Türk hükümetinin üzerine geçmiştir. Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, yüz yıldan fazla Robert Kolej'in kampüsü olarak kullanılan alana resmi olarak kurulmuştur.

3-) Empty words.

1. I didnt say Bulu graduated from Robert College. He was a student there, earning his master's degree in finance and receiving his doctorate education.

2. Boğaziçi University is not a independent domestic institution.

'Founded in 1863, as Robert College, it is the first American higher education institution founded outside the United States. Though under entirely Turkish administration today, the university still maintains strong ties to the American educational system.'

Its founded as Robert College, they build the University next to it as outsided institution and made it a state university but its still a part of the American infrastructure of the Robert College.

Robert College is like Nestlé and Bogazici University is their NesCafe. They are the sides of the same apple, its a American institution and thats why the international media coverage is so big.

George Soros, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet en Michael Bloomberg are one of the greatest sponsors in donations and the College itselfs produces cultural marxism fir years like the Frankfurther Schule in West-Germany directly after WW II. Their only goal is to change a society from within and almost all their 'professors' and 'academics' were against the TAF's operations in East-Turkey, Syria, Libya, Karabach etc.

Still, Erdogan is a pussy. A good and strong state would put those terrorists and insurgent in great quarantine camps like China does.

Translated: Academic researcher Mustafa Sen (who graduated at the Robert College a.k.a. 'Bogazici University') tells here that he got orders to put students who were doing fasting for the Ramadan on a black list.

He refused, and get fired.

This shithole of extreme marxism should be closed and destroyed by constructionfirms a long time ago. This 'university' is 0.0% Turkish.

The Turkish state and Turkish people will pay a heavy price in the future if this shithole stays open.

They say loy loy, vıy vıy. I didn't understand. I have no grudge against Kurdish colors but saw the Pkk flag at the end. I'm all for Kurdish rights, etc... but no one can defend or can have sympathy against PKK. I wonder what happened to those traitors....

No, you can't. End of discussion. I don't know how things work in Netherlands but it's not like that in Turkey. Also, there are hundereds of cops in front of Boğaziçi since 1 month. They are checking everyones IDs.

Getting a few lessons for Master's Degree is a lot difference from studying in the university for 4 years.
Melih Bulu, do not have the Boğaziçi's culture.
2. Boğaziçi University is not a independent domestic institution.
You can claim Boğaziçi University is run by aliens but it doesn't change the fact that it's a state university.
Sry but you are destroying your credibility with defending those subhumans.
1-) I'm not defending anybody.
2-) I have no credibility. I did nothing to get credibility. Consider me as a man walking in the street, nothing more.

İndeed Bosphorus University has been labeled for being liberal and anti-socialist.
you might know there are three political sides (Right -leftand liberalism) however we think just two.
İn the 80ies when civil war in Türkiye , Bosphorus University and students were calm.
alumni of Bosphorus have always been top-dogs of Türkish financial companies so the students are future leaders of capitalism.

What the hell are you people now talking? The shithole of this country is the Parliament and especially the Goverment takes big credits for this fact. Just give them their voting tradition back and remove the known PKK sympathizers. Turkish state and people are already paying a heavy price to be precise $50+ billion heavy. A university is not a threat for a nation as big as Turkey don't worry.

Canada, Belgium, India, Pakistan, US, Spain, Switzerland, Sri Lanka....many more come to mind (local govt availability for primary, secondary school education in native tongue different to majority or plurality of larger country)

In the end it depends how you define nation and citizens.

Does it mean one language, or is there something beyond that...something deeper in being a Turkish citizen but not necessarily a "Turk"?

I don't want to comment on Turkey internal matter here too much, but there are parallels I have seen in my homeland (India) and where I am currently (Canada) up close, where there have been attempts to enforce one united language (at school and public use etc).

Both instances. this has actually pushed and given oxygen to separatist movements at various times....compared to making a larger thread of nationhood (though this often necessitates a federal govt, which is different to what Turkish constitution uses).

I can tell you right now if central govt of India tried enforce Hindi as only medium of instruction at school, my state (and possibly a huge chunk of south india in general) would have had massive separatist movements. Many parties at independence were already formed on this notion....and even with the initial status quo there was "anti-hindi" agitations in my state.

So instead a common vein of nationhood was found beyond just primary language...a compromise was made and political integration was made when regional parties started doing electorally better over time.

Tamil and Dravidian languages are complete different language family to Hindi (Indo-European family). Similar to how kurdish language is of this indo-european family whereas Turkish is Turkic family.

I chose to learn Hindi out of my own volition and circumstance....and even if I didn't (majority of Tamils do not) I would only identify as Indian...as there is huge context to this nation beyond languages and internal river valley geographies.

Like Kurds, us Tamils are found in another country too (Sri Lanka).

The uni-language drive (and other related suppression efforts) made by SL govt after their independence (and bilingual system set up) was major part of the situation that lead to the horrific civil war there. It like Canada is now back to bilingual system. Canada had its own experiment with this a long time in various ways....in enforcing English in Quebec....and eventually had to admit defeat in order to nip such movements as FLQ in the bud as far as possible.

Also compare to the huge russification drive Soviet union did, the eventual result (combined with other factors) of USSR collapse.... and the lingering effects it has had in former soviet republics today w.r.t their language versus russian.

Yasser Latif Hamdani's favourite concept of consociationalism comes to mind. It was used successfully, until deconstructed by enemy action, in Lebanon; it continues to be in use in Canada.

For those interested in issues of the sort outlined above, this will reward further investigation.

Yes, you know me and majoritarianism rarely mix well. Hamdani, good call.
