Southeast Asia's largest defense fair, Indo Defense Expo & Forum 2022 has started. The Turkish defense industry left its mark on the fair with the critical export contracts it signed.

Turkey was the country with the highest participation in Indo Defense 2022. Dozens of Turkish companies participated in the fair; Many products were introduced, including armored vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-drone systems, rocket and missile systems, logistics support systems and electro-optical systems. Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Defense Industry President İsmail Demir toured the stands of Turkish companies one by one.

Many export contracts were signed from the first day of the fair. The signatures are as follows;

Anti Drone Systems to be produced by Boğaziçi Defense

HAVELSAN's ADVENT Combat Management System for various types of ships in the Indonesian Navy inventory

- 2 65-meter fast attack boats to be produced by TAIS

-Various rocket and missile systems

Making evaluations about the fair, Defense Industry President İsmail Demir said, “The Indonesian Ministry of Defense and the Minister personally have a great interest in the Turkish defense industry and us. Thank you for that too. Mr. Minister has visited Turkey 6-7 times in 3 years. In a sense, this was our return visit. We see that you are also very satisfied with it. Each step will bring and invite the next.” used his statements.

That's why Ismail Demir himself led Turkey delegation this time,

That is a massive order, and one that involves high level of trust that these systems will protect Indonesia. Kudos to Roketsan !

There reason why Prabowo in less than three years has visited Turkey for no less six Times.

There is also large number of "miscellaneous" order, including many 4X4 armored vehicles with Nurol makina and other supplier, Havelsan for Advent combat system as those system would be put in use for Indonesian newly build OPV and Fast attack missiles boats, cooperation to help Indonesian consortium to repair and refit at least 41 Navy surface assets including Corvette and light Frigate, anti drone system and so on

In intensive talk phase is for the supply of UCAV/MALE, ATMACA land based version and so.

Thats a huge trust advance from Indonesia to our locally developed air defence systems. Kudos to Roketsan. I hope to see more joint projects between both countries in the future. Could have been a perfect partner for our MMU too, but that ship has sailed.

Hopefully, bangladesh will also go for Hisar o+ and khan, as we already brought 18 TRG 300 kaplan.

I hope we will upgrade TRG 300 kaplan with laser guide like TRLG-230
Technically possible. It was even mentioned by Ismail Demir that our artillery rocket missiles now have 150km range.
For a TRLG230, where you are lighting up with laser a target that is 30-40km inside enemy territory, and firing at it 30km behind the battle front, is a perfectly doable feat.
Yet if you want to light up a target 110-120km inside enemy territory for your “TRLG300”, you will need assets in situ on the ground or in the air to light the target up. That is putting your assets in harms way a bit too much. Unless you have cleared all enemy AD systems and have full air superiority, it is risky to do.
But according to below article the TRLG230 has already gained 150km range capability. This is a bit difficult to understand and probably a misunderstanding on behalf of the newscaster. And the range in question, most likely, should have been attributed to TRG300 or “TRLG300” (if it ever were produced).

The missile mentioned as 150km is TRLG-300. UAVs will be used to light up targets behind enemy lines where the risk is high. Both TRLG-230 and TRLG-300 will also have air-launched versions.

Does anyone about Indonesia Hisar sale, they refer to it as Hisar O/U, wasn't Hisar-U renamed to something else?

I wonder if it is Hisar RF or Siper

Indonesia and Malaysia have always been trustworthy partners.

Indonesia has also been diversifying.

Safran engines for SOM comes to my mind.
Why haven't they spoiled us with SOM launched by KTJ3200 yet? It bums me out to think that we're still dependent on the French for the production of our cruise missiles. We can't produce thousands of them even if we wanted unless the French provided the engines. It's been over a year since Kale delivered the first engines to SAGE. We should see some action soon.
