I don't give to shits what ching chang, japan or whoever the fuck was in their housing crisis.
People, especially the young. The future of every fucking Country is NOT happy. And like I said, the housing crisis is one problem of a billion.
I meant there are sad people without house and happy house owner.the number is half-half.
Crisis for half and the heaven for another half

And unlike rest of Europe, there are tons of new construction

Leads me to believe there is a huge level of scam going on for money laundering and so on.... i.e the supply side is compromised.

Property and rent surveys capture inflation because they are demand-side oriented, i.e what do people actually demand in the end.

This is becoming huge issue in China as well....because property is seen as investment past its utility, so supply side and the local govt debt and land + labour costs have done little for the bubble thats grown from demand side in specific areas for specific reasons that the govt indulged and ignored for long time.

Yeah please, show japan, because seeing that its just as bad will totaly change the situation in Turkey.
Or at least it will help me to cope with the facts.
The 1st step to fix s*it is to assess the damage. Therefore a comparison with Japan is required.

You need to chill.

Totaly different country with totaly different problems and causes on the opposite side of the planet is your reference point when trying to fix "s*it"?
The problem is obvious, its just that one part of the society refuses to accept it.

Anyways, we can just as well add a property crisis to the soup, would be an interesting experiment and learning experience.

I've found this IMF GDP PPP estimates made on April 11. I scaled them by China on the fourth column and by Türkiye on the fifth column. I see that while Türkiye holds the 11th position now, 8th place is not very far away. I think we may see that in 5 years.

Turkiye will most likely overtake UK and France within the next 2-3 years. Turkiye's 2023 growth was adjusted upwards to 4.2%, while France and UK are standing still if not shrinking.

That will be the time that the Greeks will make a move, at the "suggestion" of their fellow advisers(!).
