Yeah, the economy is mostly on track now. Inflation is the only problem and it doesn't have a quick and easy solution but I'm confident as long as Erdoğan doesn't stick his nose in economic affairs Mr. Mehmet Şimşek will get it under control in 2-3 years. IMHO we might end this year with %40 something and next year with %20 something. We might also see the first interest rate decrease late this year. I think Erdoğan should get rid of the BDDK(Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency) president Şahap Kavcıoğlu and appoint someone Mehmet Şimşek wants.

In 2021 Arçelik A.Ş. has acquired majority share in Singer BD, an electronics manufacturering company.

Recently, with an $78 investment from Arçelik A.Ş. a manufacturing plant has been stablished in Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (BSEZ) at Araihazar in Narayanganj.

the new facility is aimed at reducing import dependence and locally manufacture over 90 percent of components.

"The company started to manufacture refrigerators at its plant at the BSEZ, which is popularly known as the Japanese special economic zone, last week," said Farhan Azhar, head of product at Singer Bangladesh.

Singer Bangladesh posted an announcement in this regard on the Dhaka Stock Exchange website yesterday.

"We will manufacture air conditioners, televisions, and other home appliances in phases by the third quarter of this year," said Azhar, adding that the new factory would directly employ around 5,000 people.

"The new plant can manufacture up to 10 lakh (10000k) refrigerators per year but we will manufacture four lakh units initially," he added.

The news is month old, came across it just now. Thought it was interesting. First of its kind invest from Türkiye. Let's see if Arçelik A.Ş. can turn Singer BD into a billion dollars company.

Net reserve increased by 67 billion usd without the swap. If the tight policies continue and we tighten the belt on dumb spendings we might avoid having to issue big notes.

EU is phasing out 500 EURO notes and Denmark is phasing out 1000 DKK notes. To curb black money.

500 EURO is too big but I think we need at least 500 Lira notes,200 is too small.

Lira is almost same as Taiwan dollar now,They had 1000 and 2000 Taiwan Dollar notes.

We are almost 5 times bigger than Japanese yen, they had 10000 yen notes.

Of course, introduce 500 lira note now is not good for morale, maybe 1or 2year stable value time is needed

200 Lira cant even buy a meal set in restaurant now

As Lira stable recenly,I think that s true.....at least by now.
well, that's good. It should help in the long term, and it seems like Turkey's constitutional court has weakened Erdogan's power over the central bank which should also help.

The Truth always stays in somewhere between Western media and pro-Erdogan media(like SABAH).Not as bad as Western media said, nor as good as SABAH .said

As the Western media dont blame Turkish economy recently,I think the situation became a little better.
