Turkey has 3 fire fighting planes while there are 8 planes registered in the name of presidency.
This situation is not acceptable, use the tax money where its necessary ffs...

Yeah, at least some of it strikes me as deliberate sabotage.

Good to see our government helping out. And Bosnia too. What's happening is insane.
We can not help much beside sending this firefighters teams in simboloc numbers.
One of the good things in socialism was instituiion so called Civil defence, were every citizen had certain responsibility and training for various hazards and enivromental disarters along with equipment, as the time goes forward and seeing new challenges continously, Turkey should consider establishing something similar. You as Azer know what i am talking about due experience from sssr.

Why we don't put many surveillance blimps in forests area and especially in tourist area like Antalya, Bodrum and Marmaris, these blimps can cover most of these areas. I don't think UAV or drones are a feasible solution for 24/7 operation.

We lost, god knows how many endemic species have disappeared forever. Never coming back.

These forests will not recover for a thousand years.
It's possible to reforest but hard that the ecosystem recovers.

58 new wild fires has been identified in Greece just in the past 24 hours, according to Greek officials. How is this even possible?!

"We mobilized to erase the effects of the fire.

We have prepared the projects of the village houses that we will build in accordance with the local architecture.

Our village houses; It will have a barn, warehouse and garden.

Within a year, we will complete our houses and bring our citizens to their new homes."

I think it would be a great idea to set up an organisation of volunteer park rangers, who can patrol forested areas. There are so many people who would be willing to do this including expats in areas like Bodrum, Marmaris, Antalya etc.
I would be first to volunteer.

I stayed 22 nights in Side-Evrenseki.
From my hotel balcony I could see Manavgat which was badly hit by fire.
There was non-stop helicopter activity ongoing day and night to put out the fires, like 4-5 helicopters non-stop travelling from beach (to take water) to areas where fires where burning.
One fire was put out, next fire started.
On 3 consecutive nights between 1-3 o'clock in the morning I witnessed new fresh fires from the balcony of the hotel.
Definately arson.

It was extraordinary, non-stop sound of helicopters in the air, smoke in the air, ash raining down, one fire put out next fire starting elsewhere.

For example, in the middle of night this fire broke out where there was no fire activity before.
