A trustee has been appointed to the management of the Turkish Aeronautical Association

Adnan Zengin and Abdullah Kaya were appointed as trustees to the management of the Turkish Aeronautical Association, along with Cenap Aşçı, the former Minister of Customs and Trade.

PUBLISHING: 14:01 - 16 October 2019 UPDATE: 14:32 - 16 October 2019

A trustee has been appointed to the management of the Turkish Aeronautical Association

A trustee of three, consisting of Cenap Aşçı, Adnan Zengin and Abdullah Kaya, has been appointed as the President of the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK). Cenap Aşçı was serving as the Minister of Customs and Trade in the 63rd Government.

The hearing of the lawsuit filed with the demand for the appointment of a trustee to THK, held at the Ankara 9th Civil Court of Peace, was attended by the lawyer of the plaintiff THK Central Supervisory Board members, Mustafa Köroğlu, and the defendant THK presidency lawyers Sabri Light and Ahmet Sungur.

EXTRAORDINARY AND ELECTIONAL AGENDA REQUESTED

Demanding the appointment of a representative trustee to the institution, Köroğlu said, “Many of the members of the Turkish Aeronautical Association's board of directors have left the management. Management is managed alone. This leads to lawlessness. We demand the appointment of a representative trustee with the latest general assembly structure and an extraordinary and election agenda to the institution.” said.

The defendant's lawyers also stated that they demanded the appointment of a management trustee to the Turkish Aeronautical Association as a counterclaim due to the departure of the members of the board of directors.

The lawyers of the defendant demanded that the original lawsuit be rejected and that the counterclaim filed by them be accepted.

THREE PERSON BOARD OF TRUST

Evaluating the demands, the court rejected the lawsuit filed by the Central Board of Auditors and ruled that a management trustee of three, consisting of Cenap Aşçı, Adnan Zengin and Abdullah Kaya, be appointed to the Presidency of the Turkish Aeronautical Association.

THE PRESIDENT: KNEE LENGTH TO BE DISGUSTED AT THK

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized the Turkish Aeronautical Association with harsh words during the discussions regarding the non-use of THK's fire-fighting aircraft. The President criticized the management of the Turkish Aeronautical Association and said, “At this moment, another incident has emerged; Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) issue. Who is behind the Turkish Aeronautical Association? CHP MP. CHP behind him. They defend this and say, 'Why doesn't the Ministry work with the Turkish Aeronautical Association?' they say. Well, this man has already turned the Turkish Aeronautical Association into a cemetery. Planes there have no engines or propellers. I mean, the disgrace is knee-deep. Now, we'll probably discuss it here and there in a few days. In other words, we cannot get anywhere with this Turkish Aeronautical Association.”

Look at the THK issue from this perspective... Beyazıt Karataş warned: A core fleet is a must!

'Planning should be done considering not only forest fires, but also possible fires in Istanbul earthquake, oil refinery fires, fires in defense industry facilities producing weapons and ammunition, nuclear power plant fire under construction, and even possible wartime, and the core fleet should always be ready.'

Look at the THK issue from this perspective... Beyazıt Karataş warned: A core fleet is a must!

As the fires engulf our country, the firefighting fleet of the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK), which could not be flown, is at the center of the discussions.
Aviation experts are giving critical warnings not only for today's fires but also for the great dangers in the future.

Retired Air Pilot Major General Beyazıt Karataş, in his statements to Yeniçağ's Orhan Uğuroğlu, drew attention to the importance of Turkey not having an active firefighting fleet.
Karataş used the following statements:
"THK and Fire Fighting Aircraft were not just a tender issue, they were also a strategic national power that protected our national assets, provided humanitarian aid when appropriate, contributed to diplomatic relations, and was an important force multiplier.
As a result of global warming, we will encounter natural disasters and forest fires more frequently in the coming years.

Planning should be done considering not only forest fires, but also possible fires in Istanbul earthquake, oil refinery fires, fires in defense industry facilities producing weapons and ammunition, the ongoing nuclear power plant fire, and even possible wartime, and the core fleet should always be ready.
If one of these happens, will you make a tender for the rental fleet?
In other words, this issue is the main responsibility of the Presidency at the highest point. After all, this issue is not a matter of money, stamps, tenders, more or less water, but a strategic state issue.

There is an urgent need for state coordination now."

A FIRE EXTINGUISHING FLEET IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PRICE OF THE PRESIDENT'S AIRCRAFT

Uğuroğlu continued his article as follows:
"It is essential to establish a firefighting fleet before it becomes a survival issue for Turkey.
Both the Turkish Aeronautical Association and the Turkish Air Force can undertake the management of this fleet.

According to my research, the cost of one newly modernized Canadair CL-215-T aircraft is around $20 million.
The new firefighting helicopter costs around $15 million each.
If 10 planes and 15 helicopters were ordered, how much would Turkey set up a Fire Fighting Squadron in total?
- For 425 million dollars…
So, how much is the price of just one plane of the President?
- 500 million dollars.
And there are 2 planes of this value…
Shame on you…"

Beyazıt Karataş warned like this two years ago... The fire disaster came in sight.

Interesting article, it is obvious that some more effective tools and strategy should be adopted instead of usual ranting about airplanes as ultimate solution. Drones should be evaluated, potentialy cheaper and more precise, also it can detect better on which points water should be droped, i am sure somene will make various calculus and technical study for various scenarios.

Give the forest authorities drones with enough coverage with bombs with fire retardants, so they can stop early fires. Wishful thinking but maybe in the future satellites and drones can make an impact.

To support the fire extinguishing activities in the region upon the request of the Isparta Governorship. Firefighter, sprinkler, dozer, water tanker, off-road vehicles and personnel were assigned from our Isparta Mountain Commando School and Training Center Command.

Upon the request of the Denizli Governor's Office, construction equipment and personnel were assigned from our 11th Commando Brigade Command to respond to the fire in the region.

By the way 11th Commando Brigade was targeted by eco-terrorist which got captured earlier. Looks like the Governors started requesting military help. Unfortunately late but better late than never. The Turkish Armed Forces are ready to give the needed support.

it's not wishful thinking at all. We don't need IR cameras to spot fires at night. Look up Gorgon Stare, with such a system very large swaths of areas can be covered by drones.

In 2021 more hectares burnt in Turkey than in total 2007-2019 period. They say around 120.000 hectares burnt this year alone.
It is an extraordinary situation which has to be analyzed carefully in every direction (arson, equipment etc).
Apart from 2021 Turkey is a leader in fire-prevention in Mediterenean region.
If bad AKP-Erdogan is responsible for 2021 then thank you Erdogan for preventing fire misery in all those other years like in the other Mediterenean countries.
Other countries have witnessed much severe fires in more recurring periods than what Turkey has witnessed in 2021.

I guess you're thanking the wrong people and party in your post.

Here are the first acts of the ruling trustee in THK!

While the fight against forest fires has been completed for a week, striking information comes from THK, where all eyes are turned.

Here are the first acts of the ruling trustee in THK!

The Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) became the focus of the discussion with the forest fires that took place one after the other.
Striking information about the actions of the trustee, headed by Cenap Aşçı, who has been appointed by the government for 2 years, continues to come.

Saying, "Let's see what the trustees did instead of preparing the planes to put out the fire," said Saygı Öztürk, the writer of Sözcü newspaper, he gives the following information:
"As soon as the Board of Trustees took office, they confiscated all the revenues of the THK Branch Presidents. They did not pay the rents of these branches, electricity, water, telephone, internet, natural gas, personnel salaries and insurance premiums, leaving the branch presidents working on a voluntary basis in a difficult situation. 'a resigned nearest branch president.
Many branch president and board of directors was dismissed, people who are not members of the Authority to place the appointment was made in violation of the statute THK. "

Stating that the evacuation decision of the Laleli Hotel, the most valuable property of the Turkish Aeronautical Association, was concluded in favor of THK, it was concluded against the institution at the appeal stage, Öztürk continued as follows:
"THK has fulfilled the task of extinguishing forest fires in our country at the highest level since 1985. 5 CL-215 fire extinguishing aircraft, which will be ready for use in a very short time after maintenance and repair, have been left to rot. It has ended its fire extinguishing activities, which have been continuing for 35 years. The firefighting plane pilots and the maintenance technicians of the firefighting planes, who were trained under difficult conditions and as a result of long labor and training, were dismissed. The
Board of Trustees asked the parents of the pilotage students of THK University for a donation of 10 thousand USD per student.Mobbing on all personnel at THK University Therefore, many academic and administrative staff left the university."

THK'S REAL ESTATES ARE FOR SALE

On the other hand, THK trustee Cenap Aşçı, who put up for sale 14 firefighting planes after he took office, has now learned that the institution will sell 43 real estates in Turkey, especially in Muğla, Bodrum and İzmir. According to the news of Başak Kaya from Sözcü, an auction will be held on August 18, 2021 for immovable properties. Among the real estates to be sold, there are also land, office buildings, shops and condominiums.

ATATÜRK DONATE

Turkish Aeronautical Association has 1,300 real estate properties across the country. The most precious of these is the hotel in Laleli, which was donated to THK by Atatürk and known as “Aircraft Apartments”. The present value of the hotel was calculated as 500 million dollars. The hotel was rented to Keskinoğlu Holding for $3.25 million annually during the period of former president Osman Yıldırım, who was arrested for corruption.

Perhaps you should correct who you thank.

THK statement from İmamoğlu: We present the official application today

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu said, "We have conveyed that there is a demand from our municipalities for the modification, repair, maintenance and repair of your existing aircraft, even expanding the fleet and even getting service from this fleet. We also prepare and submit our official application today, and we are starting the process today in order to initiate negotiations with the signature of 11 metropolitan municipalities.

THK statement from İmamoğlu: We present the official application today

İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu met with the representatives of the Istanbul Chamber of Minibuses and the district minibuses' chambers at the Istanbul Planning Agency in Florya. Minibuses and minibuses representatives thanked Ekrem İmamoğlu after the decision to convert minibuses and minibuses into taxis. Ekrem İmamoğlu made a speech to the representatives and pointed out that the number of taxis was insufficient. İmamoğlu said, "Let's show one example and tell the citizen what to do. My child waited for a taxi for exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes in a place like Beylikdüzü, and also in Yakuplu. 1 hour and 20 minutes in front of the site in Yakuplu. My 16-year-old son called me on the phone. I mean, it's not Şişli, it's not the center, there's always a taxi at the bus stop, right?

'TODAY WE WOULD NOT LIVE THE SITUATION WE ARE IN'

Imamoglu then answered journalists' questions about the agenda. Ekrem İmamoğlu made the following assessments when asked if 11 municipalities would aspire to the Turkish Aeronautical Association's (THK) fire planes:
We will share this process with them and our presidents there. If THK was good, if it had dozens of planes in its hangars, if we had reconnaissance planes in the hot period that should be followed from time to time with reconnaissance planes, if we had planes that intervened there, wouldn't there be a fire? It happens every year, but we wouldn't be in the situation we're in today. In that respect, we are determined, we will make our application today."

'WE WILL BE IN SOLIDARITY'

What we call climate change should turn into a human duty. It does not have Istanbul, Turkey, Croatia or Bulgaria. It is the common struggle of the whole world," he said.

'WE WILL ESTABLISH A SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE QUICKLY'

Imamoglu said, "Of course, our only goal right now is to put out the fire, but we are prepared at all these points, to heal the wounds as soon as it is over, and to eliminate the failing parts of the urban services there. We will establish a Science and Technical Board quickly. Next, we will establish a strict Science and Technical Committee to guide municipalities and call institutions, a Science and Technical Committee that defines the fight against global warming and forests against fire. We will follow up on how to treat and repair in the fastest way.In order not to allow a single square meter to be built, a strict follow-up will be made through our municipalities, especially through our Muğla and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and our mayors," he said.

Interesting and why not the Provinces should be stake holders in THK, a semi public/privat partnership with many asking questions. Should work well.

State proved to be brain dead and corrupt once again. Very nice to see some biggest municipalities to come together and fill the gap and show the whole country how state should act. Whatever the cause, pkk, afghans, kids, corruption or climate change, it does not change the fact that state should be prepared and fightback.

Being against the science for sake of supporting Erdogan?
The next step for these people in twitter would be being against the religion in favor of Erdogan.

If you are further interested just watch how some countries counter the fires rapidly with the aircrafts.
