pardon me with the STM parts , i forgot which turk shipyard produce the 214 sub , but STM designed the turkish 214 if i remember .
Nope, STM didn't design Type214TN but the naval shipyard did.
To be honest diffusion between STM and Naval shipyards are pretty high and they are highly integrated.

The real question is how they gonna resolve OTH problem, Navy give up on Yakhont because of this.
Land - Air -Sea based SIGINT/ELINT Systems? Air based systems can be present on a UAV as well.
All needed is a link and command structure.
With a little bit of creativity, some acoustic receivers can be installed on sea bed extending to the EEZ, especially on bottlenecks.
I remember Indonesia has acquired some sets of land based systems, and the modern ships will have at least a version or these.

Unless they are working as stand alone system in which i got feeling they would do just that, but if the Ukraine can solve their combat management system and intregated them with link Y system all would be interesting as this means Ukraine defense CMS system would be geared toward NATO architecture and steer away from their own preference as stand alone system.

Though, if Indonesia ready to form more money for integration, thus it would be boon for Ukraine

The fact out there is still conflicting ego among branches , conflict of interest and resulting in miss on the procurement policy and direction. The glaring example is for Indonesian CN 235 MPA for Navy and Air Force, as they are using different specs for radar system and comm system which resulted the Air Force units had "difficulties" to relay data into Navy assets.

Russian dont go with 105, instead they go with 122 and make them Gvozdika SPG.
And bloody hell you gitta put 105 on that tiny punny turret ?

Hmm, Put an APS on a thin (very) Armored Tracked Vehicle ?
Yeah, but is it could whitstand water and corrotion ?

Also thats far more ironical, when they try to put more protection to machine but left infantry without ballistic vest.

🙈🙉🙊
The way i read is they wholly change the turret with the CMI one too or i'm simply make a mistake here ??
Please correct me in this ...

Marine change a the layout of the turret for modernized PT 76 to mount 90 mm CMI.

The 90 mm CMI as you see in the present Modernized PT 76 and at Badak FSV, have small dimension and low pressure ammunition. That could derived if both of original 76 mm of PT 76 and 90 mm CMI have a same role, for support one, not to fight against another armored vehicle, although its has capability to do so.

If my brain serve me well, ammo dimension of both gun are almost similar, i suppose the 76,2 mm gun is using T 34 ammo.
The distictive feature of original PT 76 form modernized one is that the original one have hatch opening towards front of the turret, (so it will create a slight shield for front protection of the crew if its need to be exposed). And the other is opened bacward towards the turret.

Here, perhaps it will help ya.
Actually Marines infantry got more self protection equipment compared to their regular Army peer

Is it ?
But why they never fielded an complete gear for amphibious exercise tho ?
Is it not issued yet to wear some ballistic protection for amphibious assault ?
neptune missile for tni al? how about brahmos?
i just think the winner is only one.

Brahmos proved too be bulky and despite have more range its seems still on par with yakhnot by the mean The future user have doubtful capability with it.

Anyway Neptune IMHO just upgraded version of KH 35 AShM, so it will be on par with BAL coastal defence.

Has 200 km + pretty sure that stuff have BVR capability, but the probelmo is, is it could be integrated with new NCW ?

🤔🤔🤔
Well, there also a Rumor about 8 MV 22 Kispray and MQ 9 Malakul Maut.

Is there any oppinion from "Sesepuh- Member" ?, i always admire when the "Sesepuh" got serious in the talk. Back in thoose PDF days .

That particular water has always ridiculously "noisy" not to mention crowded for over 600 years or so. Using passive acoustic there only viable as surveillance at best (crowded environment, shallow depth & muddy bottom)

AI, data processing, target-acoustic library.
It is not for nothing that US has been investing in nautical researches related to acoustic of sea creatures, how sound waves scatters, how mud absorbs sound at some frequencies or reflect the others.
It needs a solid background but with gliders, uuv, acoustic stations indonesia can create an acoustic map of the region and commercial traffic in years.
Acoustics were only "source strength" a few decades ago, nowadays target detection is conducted in a wide frequency range instead of a single "sound power" value.
And naval ships have some particular noise graphs which can further help them to be detected.
But it needs financial and scientific support which i more worry about.

Most countries still spend a dozen millions and more to create acoustic map of their waters,
In 70s there has been dozens of experiemental studies which covered transmission of sound waves in shallow - medium depth waters including effects of bottom type and bottom elevation.

The... the.. AI.. what...? We are talking about Indonesia here not US or European. Decision makers around here still sternly believe that smartphone & laptop are toys / luxury goods rather a set of productivity tools. Trying to explain the concept of Network Centric Warfare or Multi Domain Warfare to them were like... I don't know I lost words as how best describing it

So according to AH tweet the government cancelled plan to procure attack helicopter & transport helicopter for the Navy and will focus on surface vessels and submarines.

If this is confirmed tbh i totally agree with the government decision. We badly need surface combatant vessel.

Helicopters can borrowing Army and Air Force assets for a while, i suppose. Meanwhile Surface warships and Submarine is indeed clearly Navy domain

Agree. If needed, we can also reduce the number of the plan to purchase more than 100 double engine heavy fighters to buy more warships.

Anyway we also need AShW + ASW badly. Not sure about the Panthers ASW readiness though.

The PT-76 is a Soviet-made amphibious light tank that was introduced in the early 1950s in the Russian army and used by the reconnaissance units. The vehicle is armed with 76.2 mm D-56T series rifled tank gun, which has an effective range of approximately 1,500 meters and a rate of fire of six to eight rounds per minute. This gun is 42 calibers long. The PT-76 carries 40 rounds for its gun.

According to the Military Balance 2020, Indonesia has a total of 71 PT-76 amphibious light tanks in service with the Indonesian Marine Corps and the Army.

The LCTS 90 is a weapon system fully designed and manufactured by the Belgian company John Cockerill. The turret incorporates a powerful Cockerill 90 mm Mk 3M-A2 gun with an advanced autoloader, to deliver high lethality at very low weight. Compatible with a wide range of lighter wheeled and tracked vehicles, the Cockerill LCTS 90MP uses an advanced digital, stabilized, day/night weapon control system to deliver highly mobile, highly effective, precision fires.

The LCTS 90 matches outstanding firepower with a fully digital, fully-stabilized, day/night weapon control system to deliver hunter/killer functionality and outstanding combat effectiveness.

The Cockerill® 90 mm is the most powerful 90 mm gun ever fielded on vehicles in the 10-20 tons GVW class. It is able to fire a full range of ammunition including APFSDS-T (Armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot ), TPFSDS-T (Target Practice, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot - Tracer), HESH-T (High-explosive squash head Tacer), HESH-TP-T (Practice round), SMK-WP-T (Smoke ammunition) as well as the Falarick 90 Anti-Tank guided missile able to penetrate 550 mm with a maximum firing rangd of 4 km.

The Indonesian PT-76 will be also upgraded with a new engine, transmission, active protection system, digital multifunctional aiming and weapon control system, a modern navigation system, Harris radios as well as other improvements.

The Indonesian PT-76 light tank will be upgraded locally in partnership with Indonesian company PT Lumindo Artha Sejati and Ukrspetsexport from Ukraine.

When it comes to China, it's going to be all defense no offense, there's no point in increasing amphibious tanks to counter china.

If we're talking about defending Natuna (or any Indonesia Island's) it's best for us to destroy their transports as much as possible, and if any of their amphibs managed to land, the small groups of trained infantry will have try to do as much damage as possible. Before we finally run out of men, supply and ammo and pray that other nation intervene for us.

Agree, I really hope that Japan offer got materialized. The time is now to procure larget amount of Frigate, I dont care if its going to take 10+ years to be done but I think its enough to do "small" procurement and starting to go big if we dont want to end up having way less Naval assets in the next decade. Same goes with AU fighters.
Marinir upgrading PT-76 also hints that acquiring new BMP-3F is not an option until foreseeable future.
Oh boy, you prolly right. But BMP-3F is relatively affordable assets, a dozen more to replace the old one wont hurt much.... 😩 😩 I personally dream on having an agile and strong marine ... 💪😁
