We're probably gonna see resumption in strikes once 2nd carrier strike group arrives near Iran, I don't see Iran giving up anything.
The $30Bn spent so far have resulted in $40BN damage in GCC countries, including the oil / gas installations. It does not include impact on their economy and material destruction and impact on economy in Israel.

I doubt the economics work out for us and our allies in this scenario.

As for second aircraft carrier, I call BS on it. A carrier and its F-18s don't project the sustained airpower projection needed. Our land-based assets have been in the area consistently as well as strategic bombers from UK.

I think the pause is worth it as every $ we spend is causing $3 of impact on the countries we are aligned with. They would say 'with a friend like that, who needs an enemy'. So I am glad we are at a pause, as temporary as it seems

Well, as long as there are pipelines that can transport the gas elsewhere iran is still able to get some form of income. And with the current prices they earn more per gallon or cubic than before the war.

This could put more pressure on Trump to do even more erratic things, and you can't ask for a better PR than that.

I am certain that Iran will meet just to meet for negotiations and stall for time, unless they can get what they want. War raparations, China / Russia as guarentor, and lifting of unlawful sanctions, and of course keep their nuclear power program.

The more they play ball, the more time goes and come november Iran and the world will know how strong or weakened Trump will become.

Very smart of Iran, ships pay toll, and they are let go, so if US boards them then they'll have new problems. Let's see what happens.

I think all that will happen is the USA stops a couple of ships that paid the toll and then the rest will realise its pointless to pay the iranians if only the americans will stop them. If 1.4 billion china won't do anything about it, no one else can nor will.

Honestly the chinese seem really meek in the face of the USA.

There’s not much China can do. The US controls the oceans, and with that, it can control trade. China is dependent on imports of natural resources, which requieres open seas, and on exports of products, which again require open seas.

China is trade dependent, and the US has the power to stop trade flows everywhere in the world.

It doesn’t help that the US controls the global reserve currency and the financial markets as well. Their power is still very dominant, and nobody in his right mind would want to be in conflict with them.

China lacks both the ability and the willingness to engage face to US in military conflict outside of East Asia. This is a fact, and acknowledging it doesn't shame me.
And once China were involved, many of US's allies(such as Japan and Australia) would see this as disrupting the balance, they will do everythings they can to against China. It is not good for middle east.
Iranians can protect their country, all China need to do is to make US leader know the more time he wasted in Iran, the economy problem in US will get bigger.
All in all, what they did could not weaken China. This situation is enough to restrain US, making it inclined to avoid committing too much military force.

We need China to challenge the economical and military hegemony of US and Israel. However, I think you underestimate China. It's straight from Sun Tzu "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak".

The world have finally awaken to the reality composed by the Epstein class. Pure evil. Hopefully, what goes around comes around.

I'm not saying China is meant to go to war. Turkiye is in NATO, we are on paper allied with the USA and much of Europe. Yet all the major players in that alliance will support our enemies. In the case of Syria the USA and Russia worked together against Turkiye, you could literally see them co-ordinate their military movements together to counter the various Turkish incursions. When Trump basically threatened erdogan with war, but Turkiye went in anyway the americans fled their positions which were protecting the PKK but made sure to hand them over directly to Russian forces instead.

When Turkiye downed a Russian jet, much of Europe actually sided with Russia against their NATO ally pulling away air defences from our border. The EU placed various sanctions and embargoes against us when we moved on Syria etc. I actually think that the russians seeing how cowardly the europeans behaved concerning a strong nation like Turkiye, probably incentivised their invasion of Ukraine expecting the Europeans would act like similar pussies. To be fair most of them did behave that way only to pretend they were on Ukraines side when they saw the Russians were not going to succeed there.

If a country like Turkiye small in size and resources comparatively to China can make it so the entire white man alliance won't get their way entirely, surely Chinese support could have made it so iran could have done much better then they are doing now. Not to mention the maduro fiasco.

Maybe its just a Turkish mindset, but i feel had we been 1.4 billion with your resources, we wouldnt give two shits for what the USA, Russia, or EU wanted. If all of them came together we still wouldnt give two shits for it. We would feel ourselves far too big and far too strong to listen to their bullshit let alone take it.
