Unusual USAF flight in Libya

Today we tracked a new flight of an USAF aircraft landing in Libya this morning. It was a Boeing C-17A (reg. 99-0169 – f/n RCH168) landed in eastern Libya, in Benghazi or nearby. The plane left Libya in the early afternoon eastbound.

What makes this flight unusual is that the American aircraft did not come, as usual, from the United Kingdom but probably came from a Gulf country.

However, it is not possible to say precisely from which country because almost both flights were made by the aircraft with the ADS-B transponder turned off.

it's logical to think that US will support Haftar in both election or the up coming war in return for oil to solve the current us oil crisis

If the US supports Haftar as well then Turkey will be backed into a horrible corner tbh
Really pity the libyans though, it seems they will end up with a dictator as a ruler just so that Biden can save face and increase his approval ratings within the country. The Western hegemony is becoming way too bad these days. Well, if history is anything to go by, it normally indicates the beginning of the fall of the Western dominance; yet, hope it doesnt take tens or hundreds of years

Some news that Dabaiba did not qualify for the presidential race, now the road is open for Haftar.

German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung said the families of the 11 Israeli athletes who were killed in an attack at the Munich Olympics in 1972 are demanding that the United Nations provide them with 110 million euros in compensation, amounting to 10 million for each family from the funds left over by former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, which were confiscated by the organization after his death in 2011.

The report said that Israeli ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, provided the United Nations with information that connected Gadhafi to the attack, which was carried out by the Palestinian Black September organization.

Residents of Libya's south-western city of Sebha took to the streets on Monday to protest against militiamen who besieged a local court house preventing employees and judges accessing the building.

A court session had been scheduled to listen to an appeal by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of the country's former leader, who was barred from running in the 24 December presidential election.

The militiamen are believed to be loyal to warlord Khalifa Haftar, whose candidacy was controversially approved.

Protesters held banners in support of the judiciary and chanted: "No to the intimidation of judges."

They also called on the international community and the UN to help ensure free and transparent elections.

A video of the protest was shared on Twitter:

The court has been under siege of LNA's 115 militia, and the Wahabi Salafi militia Tariq bin Ziyad for a week now.
