The Cobra is a VERY difficult car to drive fast, and almost impossible in its 427 form. The earlier 289s were a bit more manageable.

Oh yes, vastly diminishing returns when you pack so much power/weight heh. There is basic math/science involved in this....people always thing why not just put the biggest engine in the smallest weight/volume possible....without considering other factors.

Didn't know India had acquired Jaguar and Land Rover. Smart move. Brand recognition is there and the cars are pretty solid too, though I am not sure about Jaguar :)

So will there be a Jaguar F1 team or such ?

They did pretty well under Red Bull though.

Credit goes to redbull.

Well honestly Ford has to be blamed they did not support the team properly not to mention they slapped the Jaguar name on it. No engineers from Jaguar worked in the F1 program.

It was a disgrace to the brand to be honest.

Jaguar is busy with Formula E there is also rumours that they might return to Lemans.

Not only that, the wheelbase is short, the ergonomics are terrible, and it will break traction if you floor it above a hundred miles an hour. Great fun! :D

Nasty business that, being in contact with the ground and totally reliant on it for your propulsive effort hehe.

Us in the flyboy business take more things for granted in this regard.

Far "easier" to ramp up power in this context when you just need to consider the air going whoosh around you faster...i.e no nasty ground playing spoilsport hehe.

Yes, but remember what goes must come down, one way or another. In a car, you just coast to the shoulder in case of powerplant failure. :D

The rise and fall of the Mid Night Club Street racing gang of Japan.

Street racing should never be condoned but the Mid Night club did it with style.

Their code of honour and how secret they were are fascinating. Japanese discipline and honour even when street racing.

@Vergennes

What you think of Peugoets return to Lemans in 2022. Could they bring French pride back to the circuit after decades of it being dominated by the Germans and the Japanese with their Toyota.

Motorsport is just getting interesting even more. Ferrari entry now have rumours of Ford, Mclaren, Lamborghini and Porsche joining up.

I remember some of his best moments so well..... 1997, 98, 99, 00 up to about 04 season it would be him and brundle so many times.

He was really a good commentator.

One of the few who barely had any haters everybody loved the man. He was funny and passionate about F1.

He was not the guy who critisised everybody.

Seriously as a Ferrari fan this season hurts really hurts.

Ferrari gave this championship on a golden platter to redbull.

Biggest enemy to Ferrari is itself.
