First customer of STM500 will be Pakistan.

About Submarine steel:

Mr. YELDAN, MiiluxOY:
"We are conducting our trials for HY100 and HY130 submarine ballistic steels. In addition, we have initiated our trial production to produce S690QL and S960QL high yield steel, which is used in the production of onboard equipments"

"DEARSAN is also one of the shipyards that bids for the Mass Production Phase of I-Class Frigates. The shipyard selection is expected to take place at the Defense Industry Executive Committee (SSİK) Meeting, which is expected to be held in the coming days.

DEARSAN is also closely following the TF-2000 Air Defense Warfare Destroyer Project, which was announced to begin the tender process this year."

Does Nigeria have tension with any neighbors? If so, this ship seems little bit under-armed, if it's just for anti-piracy this is adequate.

Levent looks like it would of been the next evolution of RAM "Block 3".

Whats the meaning of more interferometer? More range or more accuracy?

TCG Istanbul with Mildas ?

We haven't seen the land based tests yet, i haven't heard if they carried out land based tests for factory acceptance. I think, if it happened with actual missiles, it would have been announced already as a big news.

However, there is a slight possibility that it is not being disclosed due to the secrecy imposed by Navy, they tend to do it in other projects as well and refrains it from being advertised unless from their own sources (eg. TB3).

Depends on how they utilize it,

I) Less rotation speed, longer range
II) Higher sampling rate, better circumferial image of the RF sources at the comparable rotation speeds
III) In relation to II, engagement of high speed (super-hypersonic) RF emitting targets.

In my opinion, Tubitak's solution is still ahead of Roketsan's and can be delivered in shorter times compared to Levent Block II (even as quick as Block I) without a rolling airframe, longer range, better engagement capabilities, using a different kind of RF sensor + IIR.

Also to note further, Aselsan's launcher is by default, a standalone solution sharing the same foundation with multi function 35mm. And can be delivered sooner than Roketsan's standalone solution.

Navy wants a standalone solution, with dual mode seeker, comparelable or superior to RAM block II, not a sungur equilavent to do the job partially. So Roketsan's stop gap solution based on Sungur may not find an answer from Navy, under normal circumstances. But we don't know what else involved in there.

But by size Levent is smaller. ımo they serve a different purpose.

US built RIM-116 missile has 2 RF antennas. So it‘s interferometer can only make measurements of signal phase interference in a single plane. To take measurements in two planes the missile rolls around its own axis. This also resolves the problem of angle ambiguity.

Turkish, Evolved Sungur missile has 4 RF antennas to take readings. Hence need not roll, to take measurements in two planes.

There are no “more interferometers”. Only more antennas and more hardware in the seeker head to accommodate extra antennas and their ancillary equipment.
