TCG Istanbul with Mildas ?
We haven't seen the land based tests yet, i haven't heard if they carried out land based tests for factory acceptance. I think, if it happened with actual missiles, it would have been announced already as a big news.
However, there is a slight possibility that it is not being disclosed due to the secrecy imposed by Navy, they tend to do it in other projects as well and refrains it from being advertised unless from their own sources (eg. TB3).
Whats the meaning of more interferometer? More range or more accuracy?
Depends on how they utilize it,
I) Less rotation speed, longer range
II) Higher sampling rate, better circumferial image of the RF sources at the comparable rotation speeds
III) In relation to II, engagement of high speed (super-hypersonic) RF emitting targets.
In my opinion, Tubitak's solution is still ahead of Roketsan's and can be delivered in shorter times compared to Levent Block II (even as quick as Block I) without a rolling airframe, longer range, better engagement capabilities, using a different kind of RF sensor + IIR.
Also to note further, Aselsan's launcher is by default, a standalone solution sharing the same foundation with multi function 35mm. And can be delivered sooner than Roketsan's standalone solution.
Navy wants a standalone solution, with dual mode seeker, comparelable or superior to RAM block II, not a sungur equilavent to do the job partially. So Roketsan's stop gap solution based on Sungur may not find an answer from Navy, under normal circumstances. But we don't know what else involved in there.
