Damn, I fucking wish this photo showed Anadolu and Trakya together, that would've been truly something. Keep Anadolu as it is, use it with TB3 and VTOLs and use it for recon, and purpose build Trakya for KE and Anka-3 as the strike force. Damn.

USN NAVSEA delegation visited Istanbul Shipyard Command.

I don't think this ever happened before, maybe during transfer of OHPs or earlier. Interesting to say the least; but navy did show the world that it can handle so many things all at once, sharing workload between state and private shipyards at rapid succession. There are indeed things they can learn from us. I wouldn't expect a USD based deal like export of ships or technology, maybe we can see a deal for maintenance of local USN ships in the future.

I’m wondering whether we could turn this situation into something that would work for our need for a 5T frigate as well. At the moment, it seems like there is a bottleneck in terms of cost, but if we could develop a ship designed from scratch to meet U.S. Navy requirements as well(like cabeling and other different safety requirements that made changing FREMM to Constellation is hell) and be able to sell it to them(or joint project etc), it feels like we might also open the door to production for ourselves. Of course, that’s assuming the news is accurate.

According to SSST there are two more LST on the navys plan. The timelines seem a bit wishful thinking but the numbers seem real
Bey Class ships are ancient; they could only do transport work behind the lines in a modern war. 2 new modern ships with increased USV/UAV capability would be nice to have. They wouldn't be too expensive either.

This isn't the first time this is mentioned either. I do remember an option or a future batch of Bayraktar Class ships to replace them from years ago. @Anmdt

Someone please go and buy some fucking Helicopters for the Navy.

Soon we will use pigeons.

That list also mentions 4 Destroyers for 2026-2030. Looks to me more like a propaganda piece to cool down the people for the sale of 2 almost finished Frigates to Indonesia.

LST project has been planned as 2 + 2 (options). Lately Adik has released - off the recors - visuals of the new LST, mostly revisit of the original design with more turkish components.

Apart from that ssst is a big liar.

2 more LST until 2030 is a dream, and a big lie to soften sale of 2 I-Class, ADIK shipyard is booked with LCT, and 3 I Class (possibly with one or two I-Class being sold, they will append another 2 to latter years)
8 ADKG by 2030 is another big lie, even Dearsan got project as 2 + 2, we don't know ASFAT's deal.
3 Tepe until 2030 is another big lie
2 Minehunter by 2030 is challenging, note that TTHB and Mine hunter is prototype ships which the actual batch will be awarded after trials.

Armada in 5 years is nothing but a big lie, an ass licking attempt - greatest of them all.
