Bey Class ships are ancient; they could only do transport work behind the lines in a modern war. 2 new modern ships with increased USV/UAV capability would be nice to have. They wouldn't be too expensive either.

They are manufacturing consent, and they don't even have to reach a very big audience because thanks to social media their bullshit spreads far and wide. It is why people at the top have become so comfortable lying blatantly.

No different than how yank conservatives get their marching orders from podcasters and Fox News; when you keep a watch over their safe spaces as closely as I do, you notice the pattern. I have always been a fan of selling from stock; you make systems for yourself and sell them if there is a buyer and make new ones for yourself. This way you can always keep your building process vibrant and standardize your systems. I wish this mentality spans all kinds of military productions; we can sell older Altay tanks for example and make new ones for ourselves.

Our shipbuilding is sluggish, we need to speed up. The Korean company that bought a shipyard in the US is planning to make 20 ships a year, way more than we are making. Why are we so slow and building so few? We need to take every opportunity to roll out our products and start making new ones. It is only our building capacity that will be deadly to our enemies not the ships we have already built for ourselves. We have only just begone building, now we need to speed up.

Our archenemy who? our older enemies are in the striking distance of our artillery, who needs a ship when you can strike from your land positions.

Being done by the same government which has been trying to shove down the "peace" process (ihanet volume 2) down citizens throats because "war is a big possibility" and we need "stability in the country".

Telling the population indirectly a conflict could happen soonish and then turning around half a year later and selling two very important frigates that are on the finish line is hilarious.

They are clearly trying to create a budget for an unneccessary AC project which will be used as a propaganda piece for the next election.

Someone once again is putting national security and national sovereignity in the gutter to boost his chances to win another election.

There are members here that have different views to each other. That is what makes a forum functional.

Having said that, no abusive language would be allowed towards the head of states of countries and especially to the founder of the country. This is clearly stated in the rules of the forum. Anyone not adhering to the rules are warned and where necessary banned for an appropriate time. Repeated disregard for rules will end up with a permanent ban.

Seems realistic. But no way MILDEN will be operational in 2030.

Yes you can only think of exports AFTER own basic requirements are met.

Only surplus should be marketed and exported.

Where govt authority calls the shots on this (compared to how market forces do it for more mundane things more naturally), govt has to be extra aware on own requirements first.

All 4 ships either filmed earlier in sea trials or in heavy seas on their way to Germany. If it is the latter, they must have had fairly rough journey. That 27000 ton assault ship is bopping up and down to make most people sick just watching it.

For people like them, our dearest government has passed a law; reserve zone. And i hope they have a taste of it.

If it deemed necessary or strategical, the state kicks the people off or acquires the land by force, rebuilds the zone and if these people lucky, they receive an apartment at most after several years, if not a little amount if money for what state thinks the land worth of.

Somewhat similar to what happened with Istanbul Class frigates.

I am not sure wether I would sell those ships but I am sure , the money gained can build few Tyfuns , Fergani satellites to guide those ballistic missiles.
As I have said before, Turkey isn't oil rich country that it can pay its way out of trouble.
Military doctrine is built slowly with the continuous adjustments and sometimes trade offs. And it remains to be seen, what future brings

This is what happens in countries where the law of the land rules before the law of a single man or a governing body, when it is a matter of national security

If government decides to sell or donate any military asset to a foreign country, it is investigated by the prosecutor’s office. That keeps those responsible in government, in check, and stops them from harming national interests.

But for that to work properly you need the judiciary to be totally free from government influence. Like once we had. But no longer now!

So anything can be sold if it means bringing in the much sought after “funds”. I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold TCG Anadolu too.
