Ali Erbaş: They are raising things up so that faith is between man and God, and not reflected in trade, politics and the judiciary!
President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş said, 'There is an understanding that faith should not be on the street, not in the neighborhood, but inside people. Let the faith be between man and God, whether it is reflected in his home, in his trade, in his politics, in his justice, in his judgment, you see, they are causing a stir,' he said.

President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş made remarkable statements at the closing session of the 18th Congress of the ÖNDER Imam Hatipliler Association, which was held at Aksaray University yesterday.
Erbaş, who frequently appeared in the state protocol recently, came to the fore with his prayers at military ceremonies and official institution openings.
Erbaş, in his speech at the event of the Leader Imam Hatipliler Association, used expressions that would open the door to new discussions on the "secular state structure". It was noteworthy that these parts of Erbaş's speech were not served by Anadolu Agency (AA).
Erbaş used the following expressions in his speech:
“(...) Deism, atheism and nihilism, etc., which spread and affect the world, as a result of the Western-centered understanding of religion in terms of belief. It is one of the issues that should be emphasized that these movements find a response in the Islamic geography with the effect of the chaotic environment experienced in the field of creed. We need to negotiate these.
The most important phenomenon that triggers this problem is the deliberate weakening of the connection of religion with life. Inability to bring practical solutions to individual and social issues in the name of Islam. This situation causes belief to remain in the background or to be pushed out of life in matters of life. You know, there is an understanding that faith cannot be on the street, not in the neighborhood, but in the person. Let the faith be between man and God, whether it is reflected in his home, in his trade, in his politics, in his justice, in his judgment, you see, they are causing a stir. Let it be separated from faith, it is as if this thought brings humanity to this point.”

While Ali Erbaş's words create a new debate, Article 24 of the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey states:
“Everyone has the freedom of conscience, religious belief and conviction.
Worship, religious rites and ceremonies are free provided that they do not contradict the provisions of Article 14*.
No one can be compelled to participate in worship, religious rites and ceremonies, or to reveal their religious beliefs and convictions; cannot be condemned or blamed for their religious beliefs and convictions.
Religious and moral education and training is carried out under the supervision and control of the State. Religious culture and moral education are among the compulsory courses taught in primary and secondary schools. Apart from this, religious education and training depends only on the will of the individuals and the request of the legal representative of the minors.
No one may exploit or abuse religion or religious feelings or things considered sacred by religion, in any way whatsoever, for the purpose of basing the social, economic, political or legal fundamental order of the State, even partially, on religious rules, or for political or personal gain or influence.”
*Article 14:
“None of the rights and freedoms contained in the Constitution can be used in the form of activities aimed at disrupting the indivisible integrity of the State with its territory and nation and abolishing the democratic and secular Republic based on human rights.
None of the provisions of the Constitution can be interpreted in a way that makes it possible for the State or individuals to carry out an activity aimed at destroying the fundamental rights and freedoms recognized by the Constitution or restricting them more broadly than specified in the Constitution.
Sanctions to be applied to those who act contrary to these provisions are regulated by law.

Hm.... from my meager understanding about muslims worldwide, the Muslims outside of Turkey loves Erdo because he is probably the only one rn who is standing up to the West.Bruh Its funny to arabs or muslims supporting erdogan because he is a muslim But we turks are the ones who are suffering under him lol
You made some good valid points broHm.... from my meager understanding about muslims worldwide, the Muslims outside of Turkey loves Erdo because he is probably the only one rn who is standing up to the West.
Currently all the Muslims out of Turkey have a weak military, weak Economy, Weak education, Corruption in all aspects of life, and dictators who obey the West rather than their own ppl and nation.
When they see Erdo, they think of some kind of a hero; think about it....
1- A Turk,
2- A descendant of the last major Empire of the muslims
3- loves his imperial heritage
4- Conservative and religious
5- Literally the only muslim standing up against the West and giving them the middle finger
It just adds up to the guys image
PS: I may be wrong, this is what I deduced from my interactions with various Arab and Muslim communities on the internet
We have a saying for this: Davulun sesi uzaktan hos gelir. If we translate roughly "The sound of the drum is heard nice from away".Hm.... from my meager understanding about muslims worldwide, the Muslims outside of Turkey loves Erdo because he is probably the only one rn who is standing up to the West.

This isnt called "obeying the west"Erdog obeys more to west than us while Cutting our freedom feeding his own relatives and destroying Principles of the republic
Then care to explain why are they meeting Bazrani after all these years. The hypocritical CHP used to criticise the AKP for their peace talks with the PKK and Bazrani and now you lovely CHP are sending delegations (even though you arent still the government) to the kurdish groups that you used to criticse the AKP over. Above all, the HDP in the future will have a say in the alliance the CHP made.CHP is still better than erdog
ambition be like feeding his corrupt family destroying economy giving rights to immigrants etc lmaoThis isnt called "obeying the west"
This is called "corruption"
I would like to remind you that this "corruption" was the reason the CHP got sacked during the early 2000s
If erdo was obeying the west, as you proclaim, then he wouldnt have started a nuclear program, he wouldnt have increased Turkish influence over Africa and Asia using Turkey's Islamic heritage and he wouldnt support the defence industries throughout the last 20 years that now that they are among the top players worldwide. The west doesnt want a strong Turkey, and if Erdo was the West's slave, he would have let Turkey to rot from the ealry 2000s without getting buthurt all these years
Iam not saying Erdo is perfect; he isnt and the AKP became corrupt, no doubt about it! However, all what I can say is that you are a bitter hater tbh or you are some1 employed by specific political groups. You need to learn to observe the filled half of the cup rather than just looking at the empty half all the time
Erdo has ambition, and for that to happen, Turkey must be strong and must be able to defend itself...... Period!
If you like that much come here and live in it albanianThen care to explain why are they meeting Bazrani after all these years. The hypocritical CHP used to criticise the AKP for their peace talks with the PKK and Bazrani and now you lovely CHP are sending delegations (even though you arent still the government) to the kurdish groups that you used to criticse the AKP over. Above all, the HDP in the future will have a say in the alliance the CHP made.
It is sad to see hypocrites getting a voice after all these years tbh
However, you arent at fault, Erdo is! If he did control the pandemic better, then maybe cancer-like thoughts and propaganda wouldnt have spread throughout Turkey
You buy Erdogans rants as standing up against west? He made his country a refugee camp so the west doesnt have to bear them.Hm.... from my meager understanding about muslims worldwide, the Muslims outside of Turkey loves Erdo because he is probably the only one rn who is standing up to the West.

This is one step away from the Taliban. He is basically saying let's make all rules in social life, trade, economy, and judiciary based on Islam. With which country CHP meets, AKP supporters would accuse of him treason. Then care to explain why are they meeting Bazrani after all these years.
Some people judge him with his words. Some people with his actions and the reality. You buy Erdogans rants as standing up against west? He made his country a refugee camp so the west doesnt have to bear them.
I could make you a list of how erdogans says one thing but doest the exact opposite but it would probably be a waste of time anyways.
Islam is the religion of Arabs whether we like it or not. If you believe like an Arab, If you feel like an Arab, If you trade like an Arab, If you pray like an Arab, If you wear clothes like an Arab you are indeed an Arab. Not that this is a bad thing. Being Arab is perfectly fine nothing wrong with that. But forcing others to become Arab is the wrong part. Mr. Ali Erbaş is exactly doing that. Today he told that we should use economic and trade rules of Arabs, social traditions, and rules of Arabs, we should use the laws of Arabs, etc.Nilihism should be combated to be honest.
Only thing a nilihist ends up with is a suicide.
About atheism i dont think a Turk can live without believing in a God. A Turk who does not believe in something has no purpose in life.
Religion has always played a key role in Turkic history. But religion itself is dying thanks to capitalism along with science and technology. People no longer want to believe.
I see the usual bs arguments about how Islam is an Arab religion i thought people would be mature when it comes to constructive critism if people gonna critise at least do it right rather than usual muh arab boogeyman
